He completed residencies in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He received fellowship training in head and neck oncology at the University of Toronto and is board-certified by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head Neck Surgery.Dr. Miles works collaboratively with a team of experts to offer the highest quality cancer care and access to clinical trials. They include imaging specialists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, nurse practitioners, and speech and swallowing therapists.Dr. Miles is a Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He has published 170 articles in peer-reviewed journals and often lectures at national and international conferences. He is on the council of the International Association of Oral Oncology, and the American Head and Neck Society's Reconstructive Head and Neck Research Board. He has been a New York Magazine and a New York Metro Area Top Doctor for the last several years.Overall, compassion and empathy are integral to his job.
