Thank you for a pretty stress-free move! After twenty-two years in one place, the thought of moving (and relocating to a small village from mid-town Toronto) was daunting. Danny, the rep who did the estimate, was professional and efficient in calculating the time and laying out the schedule. We received calls from AMJ just prior to the move to check if all was in order. On moving day, there was a slight hiccup, as the crew that was to arrive had been redeployed to off-load a late shipment from the evening before. No one showed up at the appointed time and there was no communication, as Bell had cut off our home phone early that morning. And my husband's cell phone had recently been returned to his former employer so he had just acquired a new number, which, in the flurry of last-minute details, we neglected to give to AMJ. Eventually, we called AMJ and were apprised of the situation. The person I spoke with apologized profusely and said they would send a second crew to help, as we were on a timed elevator reservation.

So, about two hours after the original start time, six guys arrived and were wrapping furniture and stacking boxes in a whirlwind of activity. I was impressed with the efficiency and organized manner in which the two crews were able to empty the apartment. They were pleasant and kept checking for things that needed to go or be left (we were not taking all the furniture). Within three hours, they were done!
The next day, the original crew (Steve H., John and Taff) arrived as scheduled and in no time were laying down mats, unloading and setting up beds and furniture. They were super-friendly, courteous, professional and careful with our furniture. When we realized that we had made some placement mistakes, they were completely agreeable to moving things upstairs from the lower level or vice versa. They kept checking that we had everything where we wanted it and said there was no problem if we had a change of heart. They barely stopped for a brief break and were done in three hours. I was impressed with their easy-going but experienced approach to the task. They were attentive to even the little details, like helping with pads under furniture feet on hardwood floors, and left no traces of packing tape behind. The second day went so smoothly that we couldn't believe it was done so quickly.

Please thank Steve H. and his crew for making the second day totally stress- and hassle-free.

Save your sanity and your money. The entire team at AMJ Campbell is the absolute worst. Theit communication skills are so abysmal, don't even think that if you have damage that they will ever respond to your emails or phone calls, cause they won't. They are with the parent company Atlas, which is the only reason we got stuck using these awful people. And it has been a fight since day one. They will damage your items and then ignore your communication until the claim dates expire. So you have nothing to stand on. They mark everything as having the highest level of damage as they pack up your truck - movers beware of this!!! I was so tired when I moved out and only noticed that they listed 10+ levels of damage to every piece of furniture I had moved a few days later. When I called them out on this and fought to speak to someone who was actually going to listen, I got their version of a "customer service manager" - who was such a righteous bully on the phone. There is a level of arrogance and ignorance with this company. I could honestly keep going with the problems I ran into...but there are honestly too many.

Again, mover beware. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND MOVE WITH WAY WAY WAY BETTER PEOPLE!!!!!!

Not only did they delete my last post about the quality of their employees but they also broke the leg off my infants changing table and never told me. They simply placed the full dresser back onto a broken leg. This is a huge safety concern as the dresser could have toppled over while she was on it. Their employees are NOT trustworthy and fully knew what they were doing. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS.

We used AMJ when we moved from Toronto to Guelph. The guys did a great job. Truck came on time and everything when smoothly. We would recommend this company for anyone looking to move. Perhaps we could have gotten a better price from a smaller company, but we wanted the security of knowing it was a decent sized mover with a good reputation.
