The girl at the front desk didn't seem to have much experience with customer service. She barely spoke directly to me, and instead spoke through her supervisor. The stylist I had told me it was her first time doing a pedicure on the floor. My foot bath was cold. She barely said a word throughout the service. Not once during the service did a supervisor or even a more experienced student come to check on her process. Because of the terrible set up, I sat in pain the whole time. The stylist expressed her disdain for having to stay later than she was scheduled very loudly to a coworker who offered to take over the rest of my pedicure. Other stylists around were loud and gossiping obnoxiously even when they had clients themselves. Overall, Twin City Beauty College needs to work on professionalism, and they need to remind their students that foot baths should be warm.

I had not had a professional hair cut in years, the last time I had my hair cut was when I took a dull pair of kitchen scissors to it a few years ago.

I finally got up the courage to call and make an appointment. I made one with “any student” because I didn’t know any of the students that were currently there. When I came in for my appointment the owner (I think) Jeff was able to match me with a great student named Ally.

She was very sweet and pleasant to chat with. She listen to what I wanted and was very kind when she was almost done and I asked her to cut more off. I mentioned I didn’t like the color of my hair and she helped me decide I should come back again to get it dyed and I can’t wait to make that next appointment!

Jeff and another teacher were very attentive to me and Ally. They were very kind to me and very enthusiastic when mentoring Ally, helping her do the great job she did with my hair.

I am pleased and very glad to come back for my next appointment with Ally!

Excellent haircuts for my girls and tinsel and curled just how they loved it. We had Britney and Karen. They both did great on my girls. They felt very special and spoiled. Very grateful Momma here.

Rorie was amazing, very thorough and professional. I went in for a root touch without an appointment (not required but recommended, apparently) but they took me in without a problem. Keep in mind this is a beauty school so you have to be patient and may have to stay for more time than your typical salon appointment but they are wonderful. The instructors occasionally come to check on the students work which is to be expected.

Highly recommended this place for your beauty needs, and highly recommend making an appointment in advance with the student you like to see. Great service and very reasonably priced.

I took my kids here for haircuts and they all had an amazing experience. The students did a great job with their cuts and took the time to make the experience fun and comfortable for each child.

If you’re looking for an affordable place to get your hair done while also supporting students as they practice their skills under the close supervision of experienced instructors, this is a great option.

I’m perfectly capable of cutting my kids’ hair myself, but the experience alone made it well worth stopping by.
