She provides comprehensive services for women at high-risk for gynecologic cancer, including pelvic exams, ultrasounds, surgery and medical management.As a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Abaid treats cancers of the female pelvis, including ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty board certification in Gynecologic Oncology. She is an AAGL Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery (COERS) designee. Dr. Abaid received extensive training in robotic surgery during her fellowship and has an interest in minimally invasive approaches in the treatment of all gynecologic cancers, especially uterine cancer, some cervical cancers, and early ovarian cancer. She has vast experience in robotic-assisted hysterectomy, radical hysterectomy, pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy, and oophorectomy. In addition to performing robotic surgery for gynecologic cancers, she also treats patients with some benign conditions such as severe endometriosis and large uterine fibroids.Dr. Abaid completed her undergraduate degree at Auburn University. She attended medical school at the University of Miami and performed her residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I took my mom to her - Dr. Abaid is EXCELLENT Physician, KIND, CARING, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THOROUGHLY, and was EXACTLY how you would want your physician to be- my mom was having concerning symptoms and was sooo worried her cancer was back (as was I) - the staff was very professional and Dr. Abaid was amazing - I am a surgeon myself and I am extremely grateful she is my mom’s doctor🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼. RECOMMEND HIGHLY and I don’t understand why not many reviews but consider mine x 💯

Dr. Abaid is truly an amazing doctor. From the very beginning, she showed incredible kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Her bedside manner made my wife and me feel very comfortable and cared for. She patiently answered all of our questions and concerns, taking the time to explain everything clearly. The surgery went perfectly—smooth and successful. Right after the procedure, she informed me immediately about the outcome and provided all the necessary details. We are very grateful for her outstanding care. I highly recommend Dr. Abaid to anyone in need of an excellent surgeon!

Dr Abaid was the first doctor who actually listened to my issues and took everything into account before formulating the best treatment options available. She is an amazing surgeon with the biggest heart ever and is beyond intelligent and passionate about what she does!

God bless Lisa Abaid! Before my salpingo oophorectomy, all of the nurses were ranting and raving about Dr. Abaid, once I met her I understood why. She could not have been more kind, compassionate, and caring, her presence alone and beside manner was so comforting it felt like a big warm hug from grandma and put all of my worries at ease. The incision is half the size I anticipated and follows the shape of my stomach beautifully. Even better, I will be able to completely hide it in a bikini this summer and I will not have to worry about cancer as she was extremely thorough. Dr. Abaid has not only saved my life this time, but I had such a great experience that I am no longer afraid of doctors and will never prolong an appointment. I wish every doctor was half as amazing as her and I’m so eternally grateful she exists and decided to take on my case!

Dr. Abaid is hands down one of the very best doctors I've ever been to. She performed the DaVinci laprosopic surgery on me. From the moment I met her at my consult her kind and warm bedside manner immediately put me at ease. And she's a highly skilled surgeon and I can't recommend her enough.
