Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Dakwar served as an associate professor at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in the Head, Spine section of the Neurosurgery department and as the director of the Center for Spine Health in Weston, Florida. He earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. Dr. Dakwar then completed his neurological surgery residency at the University of South Florida and his pediatric spinal deformity fellowship at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Dakwar is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Join Spine Section AANS/CNS and the North American Spine Society.
