President of Carmichael Transport Inc. Kalib and my wife Cally Carmichael have been the owners of Carmichael’s since 2022. With that said, this is not a new business venture for our young family. Our company is second generation. My father Meldon (Micky) Carmichael started Carmichael Transport Inc.… President of Carmichael Transport Inc. Kalib and my wife Cally Carmichael have been the owners of Carmichael’s since 2022. With that said, this is not a new business venture for our young family. Our company is second generation. My father Meldon (Micky) Carmichael started Carmichael Transport Inc. in 1986 with a single U.S. Mail contract. I (Kalib) was born in 1989. So, when I say freight hauling is all I have ever known, it’s the truth. From a young age I was riding in trucks with my father or playing in the garage while he worked on them. Now as my wife and I navigate our own path as owners, we are making sure to utilize all experiences from along the way as well as introducing our own new and sometimes more aggressive approaches. If you have done the math from my birth year above you know we are among the younger ages for business owners. Kalib-34 and Cally-33 shows not inexperience, but a passion and drive to build something bigger. We have built Carmichael Transport Inc. into a business of over 70 units and 120 current employees. Cally and I would love to provide the same opportunity I had for our four kids. We strive to build Carmichael Transport Inc. into a freight company that is strong in diversity making it a company for the future. That way when our children, James-7, Henry-5, Sonny-2, or Margaret-1, get to the age where they want to talk about work, we can welcome them into our family company if they choose to. So, as you read about myself or any of the other management, please remember just that.
