I cannot recommend Brett Anthon highly enough. He recently represented me in a family law matter and did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Brett is honest, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I understood every step of the process I always felt informed and very confident with him in my corner if you’re looking for an attorney who truly cares and delivers results Brett is the one.

I was very fortunate to have Brett as my attorney during my divorce case. He is very knowledgeable, and asked the right questions. He was there to make sure that my son and myself were going to be alright through an ugly situation. There are things in life that we do not anticipate, and if I had to do it all over again I would still choose Brett as my attorney. Thank you Brett!

I hired Brett for mediation with an ex. He was unprepared and forgot my request for a caucas. Upon reminding him, he asked if it was necessary which I confirmed. During our time together, he was irritated and argumentative with me seemingly doubtful of the importance of the info I was sharing. Off and on during mediation this continued and on a few occasions he asked if we wanted to end the session because we hadn't agreed on a topic citing saving us money as the reason. We declined and requested to proceed as this is what he is supposed to help with. In the end, we had a brief document written up by him which took a couple emails to remind him to finish. He never followed up on another meeting and it was clear our case, business and money was not a priority. We found another mediator who provided us with understanding, interest, support and was well prepared. I would not recommend Brett for mediation.

I normally don’t write reviews, but after my experience with attorney Brett Anthon, I felt obligated to warn others. Hiring him was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made, and I genuinely hope this review helps someone avoid the same mistake I made.
From the beginning, communication was a major issue. Brett was unresponsive, disorganized, and often left me completely in the dark about what was going on in my case. I had to follow up multiple times just to get basic answers. It felt like I was bothering him any time I called or emailed—even though I was paying him for a service. Weeks would go by without any updates. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but I did expect professionalism, effort, and basic courtesy. I got none of that.
His legal advice was vague and uninspired. There was no clear strategy, no strong advocacy, and certainly no sign that he was fighting for my best interests. It often felt like he didn’t care at all. At one point, I even caught a glaring mistake in one of the documents he filed—something that could have cost me big time if I hadn’t caught it myself. When I brought it to his attention, he brushed it off like it was no big deal. That moment said it all to me.
In the courtroom, Brett was unprepared and lackluster. He fumbled through his notes, seemed unsure of basic facts about my case, and didn’t challenge the opposing counsel when he should have. It was embarrassing. I sat there thinking, “This is the person I trusted to represent me?” I honestly could have done a better job on my own—and I’m not a lawyer.
To make matters worse, he was quick to send invoices, but extremely slow to do anything of actual value. I never felt like I got what I paid for—if anything, I felt scammed. I spent good money on someone who showed minimal effort and provided even less in terms of results. In the end, I came out worse than when I started, and I 100% blame the poor legal representation I received from Brett Anthon.
If you’re looking for someone who will actually fight for you, keep you informed, and handle your case with care and professionalism—look elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend Brett Anthon to anyone under any circumstances. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money. I sincerely regret ever hiring him.
