My husband and I stopped here looking to rent a room for an entire week. Before booking my husband asked a perfectly reasonable question about whether the hotel had any problems with bedbugs or other pests. Instead of simply answering, the owner became extremely rude and told us he was “not comfortable” renting us a room because he asked that question.
My husband explained that we ask this question at every hotel, but the owner told us to “get on down the road and walked away. The parking lot was empty, yet he turned away a week long paying customer and an entire railroad gang that needed accommodations for an entire week.
If a hotel owner becomes defensive and refuses service over a basic cleanliness question that tells me everything I need to know. We happily took our business elsewhere, and I would not recommend this hotel based on the owner’s rude and unprofessional behavior.

Awesome location, superb cleanliness, and most of all exceptional kindness by the owner. He treats everyone with generosity and respect. I feel welcomed in the open arms every time I enter the office. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through. I have been yet to find better deals prior to or thereafter. His friendliness is worth the stay. He truly goes above and beyond for his customers.

I CANNOT recommend staying here if you are traveling with a dog you care about at all. There were aggressive, barking pit bulls on chains in the yard directly adjacent to the entrance to my motel room who looked like they wanted to tear my dog apart given the opportunity.

There was also a loose, unfixed male pit bull roaming loose in the parking lot with no owner in sight. I was so terrified for my dog's safety that we barely left the room! I reported my concern to hotel staff and was met with a shrug.

Additionally, I was hit with a $20 pet fee upon check-in that was mentioned at no point during my online booking process.

On top of everything, this is one of the most depressing, desolate small towns I've ever seen. When I tried to find someplace to grab some dinner there were literally no decent options without backtracking 20 minutes to another town. Do yourself a favor and make a stop in Liberal, KS or elsewhere with some better lodging options.

I paid for the room using my credit card when I arrived, but the hotel claimed to Travelocity I was a no show. Travelocity then charged me again. I had call my credit card company to dispute the charge.

I was skeptical of staying here but it didn’t disappoint. There’s nothing wrong with this hotel. Park at the door. It’s clean, comfortable except the bed is very firm(some like it), quiet, friendly service. All ground level rooms. Cute little place actually.
