We were happy with this practice for the most part until recently. At my child’s wellness visit, I asked about an ongoing concern that has been addressed since birth and was charged an additional $105 because the provider “gave a treatment plan.” I found this surprising, especially since the question was addressed during his scheduled wellness visit.

What was even more frustrating was the billing process. After disputing the charge, I spent several weeks repeatedly calling for an update and was told someone from billing would call me back—yet no one did. I eventually had to ask for a manager before receiving a response, only to be told the charge still stands.

The entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

The lady at the front desk (Niccole?) was AMAZING!!! I had trouble pre-filling out the medical forms a few nights ago because one of my daughter's accounts wasn't linked with my account. Niccole took it upon herself to link the accounts yesterday when we was reviewing today's appointments and noticed that I only had the forms filled out for one of my daughters. Now I can easily show up to the doctor appointments with everything signed! Then, the nurse who took my daughters height, weight, and reviewing my daughter's medical history could not have been more patient with me. I did not get her name, but she could clearly see I was frazzled about the shot records and helped calm me down by offering options for us to come back to get the shots at no additional charge. I have been brining my daughters to this clinic since 2012 and have never been treated so well and lovingly. In the past, the staff has been condescending, short tempered, etc. with us, but Niccole and the nurse changed my opinion of this doctor's office!

Their communication is horrible and the financial office cannot get it right. Billing for appointments that our insurance covers and on top of that to get an email, or phone call back from the OPTUM financial support in general take months that’s if they even respond.

We've been going to Dr. Vandeberg at this location since we moved to the Springs 5 years ago. It's the best experience we've had with a pediatrician. The office staff is always great, they have good nurses and the doctor genuinely cares about his patients. He's even pulled some strings for us on occasion when we needed tests done for our child and couldn't get them scheduled ourselves.
