My Mom resided here from Jan 19 2015 to Jan 15 2016 when she passed away at 90 years old.
We could not say enough about all of the staff, their compassion and friendliness to our family and moms friends who visited.
I was always informed when moms condition or meds changed.
Dr. Hassenof the resident doctor was over the top
These people care !!

Thank you to all the care givers and other staff at Jubilee Lodge.

Be careful of this place. My wife was placed here from the U of A Hospital to stabilize. After 29 days at Jubilee she died. I didn't really think she should have left the hospital in the first place. The doctors at the U of A were the real problem.
Back to Jubilee:
I found men's urinal deodorizer pucks under my wife's bed - Very strong deodorizing smell - My wife was at 4.5 liters of oxygen. NOT appropriate for her lung condition breathing that stuff.
My wife told me 4 days before she died that they wanted her to die. Someone in the facility must have told her that she was going to die. My wife's cousin relayed the same information to me. I believe my wife was telling the truth. Her mind was clear, but her strength was all gone. She was to tired to tell me who told her this.
My wife had severe aspiration problems ( chocking ). I was told at the hospital that when feeding her that I feed 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon at a time. 3 days before my wife's death I walked into the room and saw the care worker feeding her heaping teaspoons at supper. I was in shock. After a couple more spoonfuls she left the room to watch TV. I had to continue feeding my wife.
I filed these 3 complains with the social worker at Jubilee.
There were some fantastic nurses, caring dietitians and very very concerning care people that I will never forget, but all it takes is one bad apple that ruin's it all. Jubilee definitely has some very bad apples. I saw one feeding my wife.
My wife's condition was deteriorating very rapidly and that's when she needed the best care. SHE DIDN'T GET IT.
I do not recommend this place, because you don't know where this bad apple is working in the building.
May you rest in peace Gloria
