Decided to come here for a surprise birthday for a friend. The service and hospitality for this was amazing and extremely special. The owner personally came out to wish my friend a happy birthday and gave him a free meal for his next visit.

I ordered the baton rogue burger and the Atlantic salmon as I enjoy ordering two larger portions. The burger was apparently a signature dish and unfortunately I felt it was underwhelming due to the uninspired flavour. The Atlantic salmon dish however, was quite delicious. Well cooked veggies that tasted great and the salmon itself with the lemon squeezed on tasted great.

Overall, I’d definitely come back due to the great service and food that I felt for the price point was worth it.

We tried a variety of appetizers and desserts during our visit.

* Caesar Salad (9/10): Wish it had just a bit more dressing.
* Tempura Shrimp (7/10): Good on its own, but the sauce elevated it to an 8.5/10.
* Phyllo Wrapped Feta (6/10): Tasty, but it was served colder than expected. We were hoping it would be a bit more warm.
* Crab Cakes (6/10): Decent.
* Calamari (5/10): The texture was quite chewy.
* > & Cheese (4/10): Unfortunately, the truffle flavour wasn't really there and the dish was a bit dry.

Desserts were the highlight of the meal:
* Crème Brûlée (10/10): Excellent, perfectly executed.
* Chocolate Cake (10/10): Rich & delicious

A special mention to our server (waitress), who was fantastic. She noticed that the calamari and mac & cheese had barely been touched, checked in with us, and proactively removed both items from our bill. That level of attentiveness and customer service was greatly appreciated.

Giving a higher overall star rating because I hope it was just a poor situation for me and that the quality is usually much better.

Great customer service, slower than desired but it was peak dinner time so understandable

Potatoes amazing, veggies ok, however, My prime rib was not medium rare and had a lot of tough cartilage and fat so was very disappointing.
The brussel sprouts I ordered for accompanying the dinner had no green on them and undercooked because they rushed after forgetting them, assuming maybe the sprouts were just getting old so chefs had to pick off many of the outer layers.

Was with a large group and seemed like everyone else had enjoyable meals. Willing to try again!

I always enjoy going to Baton Rouge. I went to visit a friend in Vaughan, and we stopped in for a bite. Our experience from the moment we entered the restaurant until we left was amazing.

Our server was attentive, friendly, and absolutely wonderful. Our food came out on time and was cooked to perfection. The drinks were great as well.

I don’t remember our server’s name, but to the individual working the Friday afternoon shift — thank you for the special poutine. You made my day 🥰

I want to share an experience that truly shows what great customer service looks like.

On Saturday, February 14, 2026 (Valentine’s Day), I placed a pickup order with Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar around 5:30 PM for a 7:30 PM pickup. As expected on one of the busiest dining nights of the year, the phones were extremely busy and it took a few tries to get through — completely understandable given the holiday rush.

When I arrived, the restaurant was absolutely packed and buzzing with energy. There was a bit of a wait for my order, and when I got home, I realized there had been a mix-up — I had ordered the steak and lobster combo with a Caesar salad but received pork ribs and lobster instead.

The next day, I called and was able to speak with the manager on duty. He immediately acknowledged the situation, apologized sincerely, and without hesitation offered a store credit to make things right. That level of accountability already made me feel valued as a customer.

Fast forward to Tuesday, February 17, I returned for lunch with my two cousins to redeem the credit — and this is where the experience truly shined.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed. The hostess was gracious, kind, and very accommodating when I explained about the credit. She quickly arranged for us to be seated in a comfortable booth and introduced us to our waitress, who was equally warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit.

Our food arrived promptly and was beautifully prepared.

I had the 8oz steak cooked well done with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious — tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a rich, savory flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery, and the vegetables were fresh, vibrant, and cooked just right.

One cousin had the burger and fries, which looked incredibly satisfying with a juicy, flavorful patty and perfectly crisp, golden fries. My other cousin enjoyed a Caesar salad, fresh and crisp with a creamy, tangy dressing that hit all the right notes.

To top it off, I enjoyed a lychee martini — smooth, lightly sweet, and refreshing, while my cousins had cranberry juice and iced tea.

Manager Adam personally came to our table to apologize again and check on our meals, which truly demonstrated genuine care and professionalism. His attentiveness and sincerity made a lasting impression and showed how much this team values their guests.

What could have been a disappointing experience turned into a perfect example of how a restaurant should handle a situation — with grace, accountability, and exceptional hospitality.

The food is impeccable, the service is warm and attentive, and the team truly cares about their guests.

I will absolutely be recommending this location to friends, family, and anyone looking for a great dining experience.
