With the rows of long wood tables, it's got more of a Halifax feel than the usual uptight Old-Toronto feel of many Toronto bars. Up front there are some pool tables, a few smaller tables for talking and along the side is a thin dancing floor. Besides the expected entertainment, Thursday and Saturday nights, singer Rockin' Irene and stone-faced keyboardist Nate take to the stage as they have for 23 years to performing torch song standards (such as 'roll me over and do it again') for the enthusiastic, and rowdy, university crowd.
