We used Winnipeg Piling Company to waterproof our foundation and were beyond impressed with the work. It was done on schedule, and the communication from Simon and the crew was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

A individual from Winnipeg Piling Company was working on the parking lot where I live this morning, which is directly across the street from a large middle school. Shortly before 8:30 am (the busiest time of the morning) I asked the individual who drives the truck pictured to move his vehicle as it was obstructing southbound driver’s view of crossing children and created a safety risk. There is a clear no stopping sign on the boulevard for obvious reasons. The response was an eye roll followed by, “I have a job to do lady.” When I let him know the authorities would have to be contacted, he advised me he could “afford to pay the ticket.” There are probably many other piling companies in Winnipeg who prioritize the safety of 10 and 11 year old children. This clearly isn’t one of them. He was still parked there when I returned from work at 5:00 pm, so he continued to obstruct driver’s view of crossing children at the end of the school day.

We recently had serious foundation repairs done on our home, underpinning, wall bracing and water proofing. This is a big, expensive job and was very disruptive to our tranquil lifestyle and our neighbourhood. The key to a successful experience is finding the right contractor who has the experience, knowledge and equipment to do the job right with minimum delay. For us, that was Winnipeg Piling Co.

It starts with Dan, who outlines the steps involved. Then, when it's time to execute, in step Chris and Alex and the rest of the crew. They do the excavation, demolition and site prep for the underpinning, wall bracing and waterproofing.

The experience is traumatic as your home is turned into a construction site for several weeks. Dan comes by to see how we are coping with the disruption and to answer any questions we may have.

Th highlight of the experience, for us, was drilling day. We had two of them. To the untrained homeowner, it seems like chaos but there is method in this chaos. That's where the skill, experience and professionalism of Alex, Chris, Dan and the crew shines. It is also where the value of their specialized drill becomes apparent, in our case able to drill seven holes 25 feet deep, below the footing, in one day! This means the drilling, setting the rebar cages and pouring the concrete all get done at once, in a precise sequential order. To us this was a game changer!

The wall bracing and waterproofing were also done to the same high level of quality and professionalism.

Then, the backfilling is done, the site is cleared and top soil and seed spread out. Just like that it's done. We are very pleased with how it all turned out.

We would like to say THANK YOU to Dan, Chris, Alex and the crew for doing such a great job, for all the little extras you did along the way, and for being so patient and approachable with us and all of our silly questions. You started as strangers but soon became friends through this experience.

Take care and stay safe!

Dan came to my house and checked out a big crack in my garage. He inspected it and informed me that I would NOT need his services. He explained why the crack was not dangerous to the garage and he told me how I could reinforce the area myself. HONEST stand up man.

When I look back on my life, I think about the good, the bad, and the questionable decisions I have made. For example, buying 2 properties with foundation issues… awful, terrible, hopelessly bad decisions. Entertaining the idea that my foundations could be repaired from the inside by other repair companies, questionable at best! Hiring Winnipeg Piling Company… good decision, probably ranks up there with some of the best decisions I have made in my life. Strong endorsement for sure, but I 100% mean it.

These guys will take your god awful poopy scenario that you are probably in if you are looking for a foundation repair company, and literally fix the unfixable. They somehow do this difficult task, working in the dirt and muck, heat and cold, rain or shine and do it while smiling and always keeping the mood light, even when there is sometimes unfortunate discoveries.

Our scenario was a 46ft long horizontal crack that was bowing quite severely on a finished basement wall that was unfortunately also a rental suite. The crack opened up during a huge rainstorm. We called numerous companies who either said they didn’t work in our area, weren’t interested in the job, or seemed pretty sketchy.

When Dan showed up, he didn’t mince words, het let me know how bad it was, but then followed that up with telling me exactly how they were going to fix it. The quote he gave me was detailed and I thought the price was extremely fair for what they had to do here.

Every single employee they brought on site was an absolute joy to have around. Super friendly, always joking around, they made you feel like a friend or dare I say even family. Myself and my neighbours were actually sad when they left, they brought life and warmth to an otherwise boring urban street.

The repairs have withstood several heavy rainstorms that flooded other basements in our area, and ours stayed completely dry and drama free. I was standing like Phil Swift with Flex Tape, but thankfully it was not needed.

Anyways, if you need a foundation repair, or you just want to hang out with really cool people, hire Winnipeg Piling Company, and tell them Cool Dave sent you. I don’t get a kickback or anything, I just think it would be funny.
