He completed his general surgery training at University Medical Center, Texas Tech University Health Science Center, El Paso, and is board-certified in general surgery. He completed two years of additional training at the prestigious Michael DeBakey Cardiovascular Institute at Houston Methodist Hospital, where he learned how to treat complex disease processes of the arterial, venous, and lymph systems.
