Phil, having been in the tire business most of his adult life, felt it was time to go out on his own and offer better quality service and knowledge to the automotive community in Rockland County and since 2007 in Ulster County, NY. Soon after, Phil decided to incorporate his passion for racing cars with his work as a tire technician and began selling and installing race tires for many of his racing comrades. “Having someone who knows the degree of precision and accuracy it takes to mount and balance, which is an integral part of a high performance automobile, is a comfort to many who have used my services over the years.” says Phil. In the past, Phil’s Tire Service has supported a few of the racing organizations, including the SCCA NARRC Runoffs, NASA Honda Challenge-Mid Atlantic and EMRA Northeast Iron Series, through contingency programs to “give back” to those that have contributed to Phil’s success. PTS has signed on once again to be the official trackside support for NASA Mid-Atlantic and NASA Northeast for the 2021 race season. Read more
