My fiancé comes once a month and I genuinely look forward to his “salon day”! Everyone that works here, barbers, stylists, bartenders, etc. are always so kind and do such an amazing job!
There’s tons of seating, free WiFi, which is perfect as a +1 and all of the cocktails are delicious!
Overall very clean, amazing energy, and great haircuts with anyone you book with!

Great atmosphere, great cuts, and they've got a full service bar where you can grab a drink before or after your appointment. I always go for the 15 year — it makes the whole thing feel less like an errand and more like a break in the day. Bernie is the best. She's never missed on a cut and she's easy to talk to while she works. Service across the board is solid every time I come in. Highly recommend.

This is a difficult review for me to write because for years Scissors & Scotch has been one of my favorite places in the Denver Tech Center. The staff has always been outstanding, my stylists are fantastic, and historically this has been the type of establishment I genuinely looked forward to visiting.

To be clear, this review is NOT about the employees. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, friendly, and accommodating as always. In fact, the amazing staff is the primary reason I will continue returning for now.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a completely different experience.

The moment I walked in, something felt off. The reception area felt congested and cluttered, and checking in was uncomfortable. The overall flow of the front lobby seemed chaotic compared to what I had become accustomed to. This was on a Sunday, which is typically a slower day, yet the entire entrance felt crowded and disorganized. I quickly realized much of that stemmed from the removal of the shoe shine station that traditionally sat near the front entrance. That area now appears to have been repurposed for check-in and customer processing. While that may seem like a small change, it dramatically alters the feel of the space by creating a bottleneck at the entrance while simultaneously removing one of the signature touches that helped separate Scissors & Scotch from every other men's salon in town.

What used to be a relaxed, upscale bar atmosphere now felt cramped and intrusive. The peace, comfort, and premium experience that originally made this location stand out seem to have been diminished. Scissors & Scotch used to feel like a destination; a place where clients wanted to spend time before and after appointments, grab a drink, catch up on work, and enjoy the environment. Now it feels more like a place to just get an overpriced haircut and leave.

I stayed at the bar for a while as I normally would. During that time, I overheard three separate members cancel their memberships entirely - not pause them, but completely cancel. Each requested that their payment method be removed and made it clear they would not be returning. One after another, I heard variations of, "Please remove my card on file. I won't be back."

As a longtime customer, that was genuinely shocking to witness in real time.

I commented to the front desk about what I had heard, and they explained that the business was currently navigating operational changes and new processes. The staff appeared to be doing their best while adapting to those changes and continuing to take care of customers.

The new tipping process was also incredibly confusing. I've never had an issue tipping my stylist or bartender, but the new system left me trying to figure out what exactly I was looking at and how it worked. Something that should take seconds became awkward. They handed me a tipping sheet that felt unnecessarily complicated, and for the first time ever, I found myself confused about a process that is so simple.

As a business owner myself, I couldn't help but think that if my customers and employees had to navigate something like this, everyone would be equally confused.

Scissors & Scotch built its reputation on delivering a premium experience. It was a place that customers and staff genuinely seemed to enjoy together. It hosted events, customer gatherings, and created an atmosphere that felt welcoming, refined, and comfortable.

Whatever changes have been made recently, whether operational, procedural, or related to the overall customer experience, have fundamentally altered what made this place special, and not for the better.

I hope those making directive decisions take customer feedback seriously. I have loved this place for years. However, for the first time ever, I found myself wanting to leave after my haircut instead of staying.

The staff are all exceptional. But the atmosphere, flow, comfort, and overall customer experience have taken a dramatic step backward.

Let's hope they find their way back to what made this place special.

Used to be amazing. I have been going to S&S DTC for about 8 years. The stylists, vibe and bar are wonderful, great place to be. I always get an amazing cut and enjoy a drink. HOWEVER, due to recent ownership changes at S&S, their prices have become ridiculous. I fully understand you pay a premium at a place like S&S, but when all in prices get close to $80+ for a standard haircut, it is getting to be too much. Ownership changes have also seemed to really devalue their employees, just driving bottom line, probably to pay off their note on the business. I get business needs, I am a business owner myself. However, they have to understand that the employees (stylists, bar tenders, etc.) are the only thing people really go there for. Driving away their long-term clients they have worked hard to keep over the years is a terrible strategy. I hope S&S gets back on track in some way, until then, I will be on the search for somewhere else.

Had my first experience at Scissors & Scotch and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming, relaxed, and dialed in. The complimentary drink was a great touch, solid selection, perfectly made, and the service at the bar was top-notch.

Huge shoutout to my stylist, Jewels. She was fantastic, took the time to really listen to what I wanted, made great suggestions, and executed flawlessly. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in her craft. The cut was clean, precise, and exactly what I was looking for.

Between the atmosphere, the drinks, and the attention to detail, this felt more like an experience than just a haircut. I’ll definitely be back, and I’d recommend Scissors & Scotch DTC (and Jewels specifically) to anyone looking to level up their grooming routine.
