I’ve enjoyed sewing and quilting for over 30 years. My Aunt Grace taught me to sew when I was 8 years old. I would describe the items I sew as unique designs that are sewn with expertise. Some of the categories are: wall décor, pillow cover, table runner, children’s quilts, girl’s dress, personalized item, shoulder bag, fabric covered photo frame, pet’s frame and dog quilt. When you buy an item that is handmade it is nice to know that nobody else owns it also. Currently, I am sewing a memory quilt for a woman that lost her husband. I am using his shirts to sew the quilt blocks. This is the fourth one I’ve made and the families told me that it brings back good memories. After I lost my mother, I used her blouses to sew pillow covers for my family. I’m glad that sewing is able to help people. I’ve found pleasure in teaching adults and children how to sew. I am a patient teacher and understand that we all learn differently. I prefer to teach no more than 3 to 4 students at one time. My students and I feel a great sense of satisfaction after they complete their first project. Read more
