I am so happy I went with Groundworks to fix my driveway. From start to finish they were great to work with and had very good communication. The men who showed up to do the project, Ethan and Tyler, were professional, communicated the plan and the end result exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Update-The company reached out to us to complete the warranty work but didn’t show up. The company arranged to come out to our home in early June. I received a survey from the company the day after the work was supposed to have been completed. I thought that maybe it was done while I was at work- so I checked but nothing was completed- I checked my cameras and it also did not show anyone at my home. I sent the survey and to advise them that work was not completed. I would also like to add to my review that while the levelling of the driveway was a bit better- it is by no means level. The polymer that filled the cracks that was prompted by the company to expand and contract under winter conditions (therefore more expensive than their competitors) pulled apart along several seams. I also have new cracks in my driveway that were not present prior to the levelling. I have not received any further communication from the company.

We had our driveway leveled and the cracks sealed this past summer (2025). The leveling made a marginal improvement but the crack sealer didn’t even make it through one winter.

Abdul, Tymen, and Makafar (Magtar) provided excellent service from start to finish and deserve a FIVE-STAR rating for their workmanship and professionalism.
Abdul called ahead with a 30-minute arrival window, which I greatly appreciated. When the team arrived, they clearly explained the work outlined in the contract. They were professional, courteous, and respectful of my property, and they kept the work area clean and organized throughout the project.
They checked in with me regularly and invited me to review the work as it progressed, ensuring I was satisfied every step of the way. Abdul was especially accommodating during the concrete grinding, as my goal was to eliminate tripping hazards around my property. He took the time to ensure the work met my expectations.
Their attention to detail, commitment to quality, and customer service were outstanding. Abdul, Tymen, and Makafar truly deserve recognition for the excellent job they did.

My only disappointment was with the estimate. Rene, the salesperson who completed the original estimate, discussed caulking during our consultation, so I was surprised to learn on the day of the work that it had not been included in the contract. The additional cost was less than $700, but it should have been identified and included in the original estimate.
Leaving the sidewalk with large gaps after grinding was not an acceptable finished product. I contacted the Edmonton office to clarify the issue and was advised that the caulking would need to be scheduled as a separate appointment. While the office was helpful in addressing my concerns, this inconvenience could have been avoided with a more thorough and accurate estimate from the beginning.
Overall, I give Groundworks a four-star rating because of the estimating oversight and the lack of clarity regarding the caulking. However, I give Abdul, Tymen, and Makafar a well-deserved FIVE-STAR rating for delivering exceptional workmanship, professionalism, and customer service. They represented Groundworks extremely well.
I encourage Groundworks to improve its estimating process and communication so that future customers can enjoy the same outstanding workmanship without experiencing the confusion and inconvenience that I encountered.

I used groundworks a few years ago to deal with a sinking driveway and some cracks. My goal was to extend the life of a 17 year old driveway.(the drop was almost 3inches) I was very happy with the initial result. Overtime the driveway had dropped a bit and I am even more impressed with a company that stands by their work and honours their warranty!
The office staff was professional and Ethan and Leah came out and took care of everything.(thank you!!) I would highly recommend and would use groundworks again in the future

Had Groundwork’s in to break up my basement floor and add their drainage system and sump pump, ihor and his crew were great, very friendly and always in a great mood.

Their workmanship was top notch on the install and highly recommend this system if you have water issues in your basement.
