I've used Fidelity for years and have found them extremely helpful and knowledgable. They are always available when I need them. They have a fantastic offering of investment options. I believe they are one of the best large investment firms.

I just made a mistake and closed out the account where they deposited my pension each month. They were extremely helpful and corrected everything over the phone for me. They were very nice and helpful, thanks a lot.

Extremely rude front office by the teenage girl that directs traffic. Would not help me with a medallion notary despite being a 22 year client, large accounts and a court order. This girl constantly talked down to me with an attitude. I’ll be now moving my accounts away from Fidelity.

IFollowing receipt of a QDRO, I visited Fidelity and received subpar advice from an advisor. This resulted in a 20% loss of my QDRO funds. She lacked knowledge, advised me to withdraw from another financial institution, and transfer my money to Fidelity, despite my explaining my need for cash to cover a costly divorce and living expenses. After I tearfully explained the 20% tax implication, she suggested I pursue disability or payment for caregiving to recoup the lost funds.
After a month of feeling stuck and distressed over the financial loss, I returned and spoke with a different advisor, Charles. He was excellent, listened to my concerns, assured me a resolution was possible, and informed me the branch supervisor would be in touch. I was very grateful for his assistance.
The branch manager contacted me to understand the situation. While she didn't offer assistance or a fee reduction, she stated she would speak with the advisor to prevent future occurrences.
I intend to file a formal complaint. I sought Fidelity's expertise for my financial decisions, but they (with the exception of Charles) have lost my trust. This was a terrible experience compounded by a difficult divorce.

The only thing I ever had at fidelity was a health care mutual fund. I recently decided to sell it because ETF's have largely replaced mutual funds due to their more focused nature and liquidity. I had owned it since 1992 and although their chart shows a 99% increase over the last ten years a lot of that is due to the mutual fund splitting the shares. But since 1992 it hasn't done much at all . I've been trying to get my money out of my account online since April 15th. I've been going back and forth with forms and messages with them for almost two weeks and still don't have my money. This is not office specific-it's generally about the company. I finally got hold of someone on the phone yesterday and maybe it'll get taken care of by Monday. Meanwhile they've been holding my money hostage for two weeks. I will never have another account at Fidelity again.
