Come visit! You may just find your church home! We have been going here for over 3 years now and absolutely love it!! The Pastors are amazing and speak from the Bible and speak truth. The staff and volunteers are always there to greet you when you wall in and pray for you if you need it. Such a warm environment. Its a big church with a small hometown feel!!

It’s pretty wild to watch a Dayton pastor—someone who preaches humility, service, and moral consistency every Sunday—turn around and publicly endorse Vivek Ramaswamy for governor. Especially considering Vivek’s whole brand is rooted in political showmanship, culture-war theatrics, and billionaire-style “every man for himself” ideology. If a pastor wants to step into politics, that’s his right. But when the values he preaches don’t match the values he publicly endorses, it’s fair to call it what it is:

Hypocrisy wrapped in a photo-op. 🤡

We visited Living Word Church for a baby dedication ceremony. You can feel God's presence when tou walk in. You are greeted and welc I med with a smile. On this particular day they had popcorn, and snacks just like at the movies to shine the light on the stories of the bible.

I don't attend the Sunday service but I do attend young adults Tuesday nights. I go to a different church for Sundays but ever since I have been going Tuesday nights it has been a great way to be occupied at least one night of the week. It makes it even better when it's people around my age too. The only thing off I noticed is when the pastor says in my name we pray. Maybe he said in your mighty name as in Jesus mighty name but it sure didn't sound like it. Otherwise great group to gather with every week.

Great non-denominational church. If you are looking for a church family or simply wanting somewhere to go for church services this should be a top option.

Living Word is PHENOMENAL. You will never find another Pastor who pour’s himself out by making himself available to every soul that walks through its doors. Pastor Pat stands at the door and shakes hands and prays for anyone who exits the doors. This is no small church. It’s huge. A refreshing departure from celebrity Christianity where there’s green rooms and pastors exit from behind stage. He has a heart for each soul. A true shepherd heart. They also have an amazing Special Needs program and many individuals with Down Syndrome attend here. They are accommodating accepting and make room for individuals with special needs, something extremely lacking in churches.

I've been attending lwc on Burkhardt and vandalia campus for about 6 months and without question when Pastor Pat had heard of my situation. He prayed for my sons and I. Since then his staff even put us in a hotel while we await housing. Without going into full details of my life circumstances. It was and is a difficult situation but they as My Home Church have been there for me. It's lovely to experience a church who has money and actually helps the community. It's weird actually. I didn't think churches did anything for anyone at one point. I went in skeptical and im confident they are a loving christ centered family. I get something every service. Every meal. Every interaction I leave with a full belly and heart. And I haven't even mentioned the Dream Center... to put it plainly if there's a need In the community they have it covered. They are also sensitive to the fact that people come from a variety of backgrounds. They are gentle in worship. Accepting of all. They bring love and corrections. At a good balance. And I can appreciate that. Anxiety, addiction, homelessness etc. plagues alot of people. They've got it all covered. Even trafficking and domestic violence. Also they offer tons of classes. From recovery to grief. Men and women. After school programs for school aged kids and teens. None of the tithes go in their pockets I can tell you that. 💙

This church is a mega-church in hiding. Within the first 30-seconds of the service, the pastor began explaining to the congregation (unprompted) how they should cast their vote during an upcoming ballot. The pastor sounded like a direct copy from every political ad on the radio.

In addition to this blatant political bias and affiliation, this church exemplifies the problems with evangelicals today in America. Preaching the importance of "driving evil out of this nation" via how the congregation votes in elections is a clear example of how right-wing extremism has ruined evangelical churches in America. Do not attend.

A truly wonderful place with wonderful people, powerful worship and impactful messages. The truth is preached with love, humor, and grace, but there is always a call to action. There is such passion for the souls of our city, to meet needs and to love people into the kingdom. I always sense God's prescence here. We have been coming for five months now and have grown so much. God is doing amazing things at Living Word.

Absolutely love Living Word. My daughter is a member. She invited me. I fell in love with this church after my first visit. Everyone is so welcoming. It's come as you are. No judgement. I have brought every walk of life with me and they were at ease and felt comfortable. Pastor Pat and everyone else are absolutely amazing!

WOW!!!!!! I am so blown away by this church! First off, they treat their visitors SO well! Upon arrival on Easter Sunday at the 9 am service, I was greeted while pulling in. I told them this was my first time here and asked where I should park. I was 10 min late and the parking lot was PACKED. I was shocked when he radioed in another church member and they had saved first time visitors a spot right up front. There are very few things in life that still make you feel special. This gesture alone made me feel so special. After parking I was warmly greeted 3 times while walking in. While at service 4 people approached me welcoming me. It meant so much to me how such a large church actually noticed I was new and made me feel welcomed. Easter service was spot on. I have been church searching for a while to find a place to call home and settle. I'm appalled at what pastors are preaching. Attended a service the day before and the pastor compared Jesus dying on the cross equivalent to getting a deal at Walmart 😱 Pastors should never cheapen the gospel and I believe that is why people are leaving the church because most offer feel good all about what's in it for me type services rather than it being all about Jesus and the true meaning of why we celebrate Easter. Easter bunnies should not be in the church. The pastor preached the bible not an opinion. Living Word will now be our home church. I'm excited!!!

Love this church. Today was the thirtieth anniversary and it was amazing. I've only been to this church for less than a full year but it has changed my life and my relationship with Jesus so much. I love living word. The people and staff are so encouraging. Also I love their youth program. You connect with so many people and the leaders are so loving. Love you pastor Brent and Celeste as well as Sofia!

Excellent! Wonderful worship and the WORD of God spoken with joy and hope. Jesus is the "main" so makes the quote "keep the main thing, the main thing" so true. Pastor Pat is so in love with Jesus and he just shines with the presence of Christ. Also love the family of believers that attend, outgoing and loving. Such a wonderful mix of God's beauty in every shade like roses of every shade in a garden. This is what living in community is supposed to be like. Wish the whole world could be there. Wish all of America could hear His Word and be set free! If ever America needed Jesus and His beautiful Word (himself) it is now and forever.

Living Word is our home church and we are so blessed to be a part of it and to have such an amazing church family. It is overflowing with the love of Jesus! I first started attending in 1998 and a year later married and we had 3 kids. We all become members. Our children were each baptized through Living Word church. They absolutely love the youth group and their youth pastors. Living Word has given our kids a solid foundation to stand on in a difficult world for teens- teaching them the word of God and His desire for their lives. The church has supported both myself and my husband and lifted us up during very serious health issues we have experienced. I don't know what we'd do without Pastor Pat, Jackie and the incredible staff and our whole church family here. I thank God for leading me to this loving, spirit filled church so many years ago! If you feel lost, lonely, confused or just want to find a church who will love you the moment you walk in the door, come visit Living Word!! Blessings! 🕆🕆🕆
