WORST BAR-BQ EVER!!!
Where do I start, first of all I’ve machine was broken and they didn’t have regular bbq sauce so that was and huge inconvenience. Then we got our food; 2 meat 2 sides plate 1 regular drink and a side of sureño corn bread, $28.78. Ok, that’s fine bbq is pricy BUT for the price I expect top notch quality meat and flavor. I did not revive that here at HEB’s true bbq, the only true thing about this place is that it is over priced and lacking favor! We tried their new Asian inspired ribs, turkey, brisket beans, and turkey. The ribs were absolutely horrible with the flavor of overwhelming soy sauce and who knows what else those were negative 10 in my book. The turkey was just ok which it’s hard to mess up turkey but it was dry and no real smoke flavor. The side were just ok as well the beans probably being the best but they were not hot at all. Corn bread was hard and crumbled into tiny hard pieces. We ask the manager if we would be able to get brisket because the ribs were so terrible but she refused which I mean come on HEB we spend so much money at your place you can’t afford to lose $5-$10 if that on a few pieces of brisket? Just a horrible experience all around at True bbq. I own a business close by and really wanted this place to be good to cater food for my guys but guess we’ll stick to other places around us.

Elizabeth was amazing! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly fast. Everything was fresh, hot, and came out quickly. Great experience overall—thank you, I’ll definitely be back!

Easy ordering, quick readiness though I never heard my name called I did get up and check shortly after ordering around 12:30 pm and it was there ..... The ribs are EXTREMELY peppery so be prepared, I had to scrape some off, burning my lips .... The sauces are good but my favorite things was the collard greens.... Never had them before, they were soft, flavorful and buttery, I'm a new fan and very tasty but runny creamed corn.... Thinner than the other locations I've been to.

... Clean but very small seating inside and too hot for the roomy patio darn it.

But will go again, easy parking next to HEB.

I want to begin by stating I love coming to True Texas BBQ but as of recently the quality of some food has gone down. The chicken tenders used to be so big and more chicken than breading, ive attached images here of the ones I ordered today. I will still go back but I don't appreciate the change in Tenders.

If I could give the service a 10, I would. ELIZABETH WAS AH-MAZING!!! I was in from out of town… Atlanta… And Elizabeth gave me a couple tasters that blew me away. When I asked if they had sweet tea, she’s like, YES! we absolutely have “Delicious sweet tea”! I got so excited! The food, the tea…everything was amazing. I can’t wait to come back!!!! And whoever Elizabeth bosses, you have a real one. She’s a great ambassador for the brand!!!!!
