We arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately, only half our group could eat due to nut allergies, as many dishes contain cashew or chickpea flour. The dinner menu felt rather limited. The food arrived lukewarm, and by the time I finished one roti, the curry had cooled. Be sure to specify how you’d like your roti cooked, or you might get one with burnt spots. The music was a bit too loud, making conversation challenging. There’s an automatic 18% gratuity, regardless of service quality. While one item was missed from our order, they did adjust the bill after we mentioned it. Overall, it was a fairly average experience—nothing special.

A nice Indian restaurant near Times Square.
Surprisingly the food was good and the ambiance and service was equally good too. They have a bar as well. Recommended For those who really miss Indian cuisine in New York.

We went here for restaurant week and were very pleased with the menu options. Flavors were amazing for the apps and dessert; Chicken Tikka Masala was not as spicy as I was expecting, but it was still good. Drinks were excellent.

Me and my Mom went there to celebrate my Dad's Birthday. We ordered all his favorite dishes and his favorite dessert. We loved it. Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were amazing. I really liked their Kulcha with Chole and Paneer Tikka appetizer.

Enjoyed our dinner here at Gulaabo. Everything was flavorful. We got shakarkandi chaat, pani puri, lamb seekh kababs, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, garlic naan, aloo kulcha and rabri gulab jamun. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Tried lauki kofta and it was delicious.

I would not recommend this place for the following reasons:
1. Not authentic Indian food- The taste is bland and you cannot feel the spice
2. Portion size is very small
3. Mandatory 18% service charge
4. No condiments provided such as lemon and onions that Indian restaurant provide
5. Waiters don’t speak Indian language
6. Waiters don’t ask about whether you liked the food or not
I don’t recommend this place at all.

Visited here for dinner. Restaurant has nice decor. We ordered veg thali and non veg thali, also pani puri. Service was excellent. Pani puri was very good also the Thalis. This is a great place to dine in. Enjoyed our dinner here.

We were in the area so decided to have dinner at this establishment. We ordered pani puri and aloo tikki chaat for appetizers. Pani tasted good but the puris seemed old and had weird oily aftertaste. We requested a change and they gave us new ones. They were slightly better, i would expect a better quality from a fine dining restaurant. The chole were also smelling funky in aloo chaat but we didn’t wanna complain about everything so just ate it anyway. Got only 1 piece tikki in the entire portion of aloo chaat, which is disappointing for the price. For mains we order paneer tikka masala and naan. Naan was soft. Paneer was sweet. Everything was pretty mediocre and also they add 18% gratuity by default!

A Fine Dining Restaurant in the heart of New York Downtown! Fine dining to the T with regard to ambience, service and food portions! Portions are small and expensive!!! The Appetizers are a small portion and likewise the main course.

Craving Indian food , and waking down 47 Ave in NYC we saw this busy restaurant and tried it . They had all sets taken I in the lower level and we were taken to rut upper level .

And upper level filled up too l, all that says about that food and ambience here !

Sumon took care of us and he was just amazing !

We decided to have our dinner in a nearby Indian Restaurant at Times Square,NY. We searched for a good rating restaurant and we got this as a top rated one. But when we had our dinner here we got to know that this place is only hyped and not that much good in taste and more pricey as compared with others.
Still I am taking my time to rate this restaurant

The vegetarian platter was only thing we liked from the restaurant.

Excellent restaurant and wonderful food. Great vibe. The veg kebab platter and mutton were awesome, as were the naans. The fried fish was okay. But the vibrant environment and courteous service made the evening worthwhile.

Fantastic find in 47th , best Indian meal I have had in a while and it was in the USA ! It was Mother’s Day extremely busy but staff coped wonderfully sparing us some time to educate how to eat a starter we had not encountered before , if you in the time square area do not miss this little gem of a place!!
