Unique place to stay (the railroad car) has stunning views of the bay. I could have stayed on the deck all night if it wasn’t raining. It was a bit run down though. I think a little updates to the furniture and bedding would be good. A bit pricey, but you can’t beat the view from the bedroom window.

Awesome place! 15 min ride to the spit but also far enough away to enjoy the scenery and quiet. We rented the moose caboose, it was awesome. Thank you Evelyn, if I ever make it back to homer ill be sure to stay here.

Our family of 5 stayed in the Canyon Creek Cabin. It is spread over three levels and the kids loved having their own little hideaway loft area accessible by ladder. Stunning views of the water and Kenai Mountains on every level, especially from the balcony and master suite. The kids enjoyed the "treehouse" feel of the property and the real Alaskan decor. Books and boardgames to keep families entertained. Evelyn, the owner, welcomed us upon arrival and was very prompt in addressing any issues / questions. There is a new hot tub in the conservatory overlooking Kachemak Bay. We only ate breakfast in the cabin (as Homer as so many restaurants to try!) however, I noticed the kitchen was fully stocked with anything a family might need to prepare a meal.
In Homer, it is 100% worth it to book the' Danny J' boat and dine at the Saltry Restaurant. It is a one-hour boat ride. Rersevations required. Memorable meal in an unforgettable setting! Bishop Beach is nearby for long strolls and seashell collecting. The Diamond Ridge is a rewarding hike down to a remote beach with wild Alaska shoreline.
Overall, we had a lovely stay in our Canyon Creek Cabin. It felt peaceful but well connected to everything we wanted to do - beaches, restaurants on The Spit, local Homer bakeries, the Sea Life Center, hikes and boating!

Our three households stayed in three units here at AlaskaAdventureCabins and had a great time. Great views, close to anything needed, grills, outfitted units, hot showers, nice beds, and just generally a nice place to stay. The hot tub in the solarium was great, and used several times by kids and adults. Scarlet, the resident dog, was always friendly and charming. Evelyn was great in communications and was very accommodating. Everyone had a great time.

I cannot recommend Alaska Adventure Cabins highly enough. Evelyn, the owner, communicated with me consistently for the past six months leading up to my trip, which made planning from across the country feel easy and stress-free.
When I arrived, everything was exactly as promised — spotless, welcoming, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared. The cabin had everything I needed, from wine glasses to the hot tub, and it immediately felt like a place where I could truly relax and settle in rather than just “stay.”
The view was absolutely unbelievable. Waking up each morning and looking out at snow-capped mountains and Kachemak Bay was one of the highlights of my entire Alaska trip. The setting felt peaceful, private, and quintessentially Alaskan.
You can tell Evelyn genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in creating a beautiful experience. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Homer.

We stayed in the Upper Moose Caboose. The view is amazing.
The Moose Caboose is very comfortable,
and has a spacious feeling with full kitchen, living room and bedroom. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub which is located inside a greenhouse! Flowers and tomatoes share the greenhouse with the hot tub. We hope to return.

Place was amazing. Safe, secluded enough to feel that way. Close to the hwy but it doesn’t feel that way. The views are amazing. The hot tub is… accessible. Hahahaa. Great place. Pet friendly. Not a lot of room for dogs to run, and it’s not connected to any version of a green belt or path to the beach. Dogs have space for bathroom and smelling stuff.
It is a cabin, so everything doesn’t work like a brand new house. The shower is sufficient. It has laundry in the cabin we had.
Dogs didn’t love the full size Wolverine mount. Overall it was amazing.

Evelyn was such an amazing host. We loved our stay in the moose caboose train car such a fun, unique experience. The views from the private deck overlooking the Kachemak Bay were incredible. The rental was equipped with everything we could need and more. Can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you Evelyn!

My partner and I had a wonderful time! Love being greeted by Dactyl the cat who seemed really sweet, but kept his distance. Room was very clean and cozy and loved the view. The indoor fire stove was a wonderful touch! We never had a chance to go to the hot tub or solarium but if we stay again, I would really like to. It was a wonderful short staycation getaway right here in our beautiful town of Homer. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly❤️ Highly recommend.

Alaska Adventure Cabins give you the opportunity to see mountains, wildlife, glaciers and the water all in one view. Over my five-week stay to help my son, Evelyn was responsive and helpful. She was flexible when our initial dates had to change and she accommodated our every need.
The cabins were very clean and had everything I needed. Close to town but had a remote and private feel to it. Highly recommend this property and this host! I can’t wait to go back and visit in the summer.

Excellent. One of the best experiences we’ve had renting air bnb’s. Location is great. The view in the mornings was awesome. The converted train car was cool, but the photo book showing how it came to be there was a really cool touch and me and my fiancé had a great really enjoyed cuddling up and looking at the photos. Evelyn was very helpful and left us all the information we needed right on the counter inside and was always responsive when we messaged her. Electric blanket in the bed was a nice touch too so we always got into a warm bed. We forgot our cooler in the room and Evelyn let us retrieve it, no problem. We saw their other rental, a converted boat and we can’t wait to try that one out next!

Excellent train cabin experience. Virtually a small home. Incredible views, hot tub and overall experience. This is a winner in price, value and experience. A must stay in Homer.

You will not be disappointed! The views are TO DIE FOR! What an absolutely lovely host and the cabin had everything we needed and more!
The second bedroom was located in a separate space on the outside of the main cabin, which our teenage sons loved.
This cabin was truly amazing and worth every cent and more!

Evvy's cabins sit just north of Homer on a cliff overlooking Kachemak Bay. Some of the cabins do indeed have a commanding view of the Bay which is definitely worth requesting. There's a solarium with a hot tub- I didn't have a bathing suit so that didn't happen although I would have loved a hot soak after some of my hikes. My cabin featured a fireplace, plenty of supplies and the occasional visit by Scarlett, Evvy's energetic mix-breed dog.
The kitchen is fully set up, all you need is food, and you've got all the comforts of home. Evvy works hard to make sure you're comfortable and know your way around.
It's quiet, restful and as the weather shifted from summer to fall, I had plenty of both sunshine and rain to enjoy.
Just up the road are a viewpoint over the bay and a great hike off Roger's Loop Road, and Homer is home to a hundred different terrific options for play.
If you want a bay view, ask for one. I loved my cabin but my view of the bay was largely blocked by bushes, although I could see a piece of it at one end of the cabin. That said, I spent many a happy hour writing, resting and even snoozing comfortably on the couch after various adventures.
I strongly recommend staying here. If you're the type who likes to cook your own meals (eating out in Homer can be lovely but pricey), you like coming home to a cabin that feels like home and you appreciate a fire with your meals, this place is perfect. I'd definitely book here again.

We had a great time at the cabin was beautiful mountain and ocean view. The decorations are so cute and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We kind of felt living off grid but actually the cabin has Wi-Fi. Totally enjoyed it

Oh my gosh what a perfect little place to stay in Homer! Super cozy, easy to find, incredible view, convenient location, and it had everything we needed. Will absolutely stay again!

We absolutely loved this cabin. The views alone are worth staying there. We were out on the balcony and glued to the windows the whole time we were at the house. The inside was comfy and cozy and so beautifully done. Evelyn is a very responsive host and she made the whole process from booking to check in and check out very smooth. The price is also very reasonable for the high quality of the stay. We will continue to book this cabin every time we come to Homer (our most favorite place on Earth).

Outstanding stay! Lodging had everything we (one couple) needed. The view was stunning. Convenient to the Spit. Private for most of the stay. We had lower unit and had neighbors above us for a night. The grounds are meticulously maintained, Evelyn - owner/mgr- was communicative before during and after. The lodging was spotless and very comforatble.
The creation of lodging using and old railwaay car added some Alaska flavor and acknowledged someone's ingenuity. Beautiful place and would return.

This was the perfect getaway for me and my baby. Evelyn was so gracious and accommodating to us. She was communicative and gave us clear directions and how to get inside. The caboose was absolutely incredible! What a beautiful property and it had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back and will be recommending to friends and family!
