A couple days ago, I had the Leonard ARE cap installed on my truck. I was told it would approximately 2 hours and they were spot on. They even washed the truck/cap when the install was complete. Great service.
I'm very pleased with the install and it's a perfect match for my truck. It looks great. I should of done it sooner!!

This is the 2nd time that I’ve gone to this business for window tinting. Both times were the same experience! Fast and easy to make an appointment. And the service was great! Highly recommend!!

The price for my grill guard was the same as anywhere I found the guard online. Installation was easy to schedule and only took 1/2 day. I dropped the truck off the night before, the truck was taken inside for security. Total price was ~$150 less than Leonard's competition in Gaston County, about 20 miles away. Very positive experience!

Not sure the best way to write this, it has been quite the journey over the last 15 months. For the most distilled review, avoid Leonard at all costs. If you can't, make the trip to their Gastonia location off of Tulip drive, the manager there Billy will treat you right. I might sound dramatic but I ended up taking Leonard Truck Accessories to small claims court and got a full refund plus a bit more over my experience so decide for yourself.

In May of 2024 I paid $4.7k for a fiberglass truck cap. It took a month to be manufactured and arrive. On arrival there were multiple defects. This included the locking mechanism being defective and popping out of the door, the headliner being destroyed, leaking terribly, scratching the paint of my truck on install and other things. The shop said they would be happy to fix it. The shop at that point was going thru about a manager a month and regular employees going twice as fast. Every time I came back to try and get it fixed I had to start over with a new manager who had no idea what was going on. On multiple occasions I was promised a new cap to show up a month later and no new parts or cap to be at the location and no one knew who I was. Most of the managers I worked with couldn't even work the outdated computer system. They couldn't figure out how to turn it on. I had to file a warranty claim through leer myself because Leonard couldn't figure out how.

When the replacement was delivered it was somehow lost and no one at Leonard knew how to find it. After threating a lawsuit they found it but when I showed up for it to be installed the only employee there was an older guy. I spent 3 hours helping him install it to see that the back door wouldn't operate properly but when I brought it up to the attention of the elderly manager he said it was fine. It was also his last day working for Leonard and I never saw him again. You could pull the back door open when the handle was in the "closed" position and was in worse shape than before.

After multiple conversations with the district manager Josh he said I could return it for a refund. I had had many hours of my time wasted at this point and didn't feel as though that was fair but just wanted out. When I rolled up and tried to return it the DM Josh had been fired and there was a new DM Rex. He said that the cap was a "non-returnable product and I SHOULD HAVE READ THE PAPERWORK I SIGNED AT PURCHASE." I tried to describe the experience I had had over the last year but he wasn't interested in hearing it. I realized the situation I was in and made sure all correspondence was over email. The next few weeks were full of nasty emails from him telling me the few options I had and me informing him of the almost 40 hours and $5k I had lost on this and the terrible service. I screenshotted all of the emails between me and Rex and filed in small claims court and a week later Darrell, the Director of Asset protection asked if I would accept a check for the full amount I had asked for.

This story is a lot longer and has some crazy details that I don't think I can mention in a review like this but just wanted to mention that you can take this LLC on if they have mistreated you. I personally talked to and heard many other customers complain with similar problems. The LLC is located in Mt. Airy NC, the legal stuff felt like a big hurdle figuring it out in the beginning but wasn't that bad after getting the hang of it. Because their work is atrocious and until they are held accountable they will not get better. Check out my video about the rear door not shutting or the photo of the gap so bad with the rear door being mounted on so crooked that you can see light between the frame and the fiberglass. The manager Whitney looked at this and told me "this is the best that they can do".

A Lot of what happened in this interaction happened in their sister store down the road but the cap was in it's worse condition when leaving Gaston glass. Dusty and Whitney said they'd take care of me but the quality of their work does most of the talking.

Called up and ordered a gooseneck/chain kit for the “new to me” 2024 Chevy 2500 HD on a Friday and was taken care of from the minute they answered until they called me to come get my order. 3 days later. Great experience, good customer service and the parts are exactly what I needed.
