He earned his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He began his nursing career in 2017 in the critical care unit at University Medical Center, later transitioning to the surgery and recovery team at Touro Medical Center in 2020. In 2022, Stephen completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at LSU Health Sciences Center, graduating with honors and membership in the nationally recognized Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. That same year, he achieved board certification as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
