We chose Lifestar for companion care for my 87 yr old aunt who began having memory issues. I selected them because during my physical therapy, I witnessed an elderly lady arrive for her appointments with what I thought was a sweet family member. I found out the woman actually had a companion that brought her to her appointments. I waited one day after my appointment hoping the woman would show up for her appointment. Once she did, I slipped over and spoke to the young lady that accompanied her. Sarah began telling me about Lifestar and the wonderful couple that owned the company. When someone talks so highly about the company owners, that speaks volumes. I left with both owners personal cell phone numbers. I called and got more information from Matt (owner) and set up an appointment to have them come out to do an evaluation for my aunt.
Matt and a nurse came out to do the assessment on my aunt. Both were very compassionate and patient with her. She has Alzheimer’s so she had to be told a number of times what was taking place. Once assessed, Matt assured me he could provide a companion for her that would love her dogs and be able to deal with her eccentric ways. I asked how soon, and he said he needed a couple of days. I asked him if I could have the young lady that I witnessed at my physical therapy appointments caring for the elderly woman. He said she already had an assignment but he had several other companions that would be suitable for my aunt. The next day, he called me back and said he could have someone begin companion care for her the next day. I decided to meet the companion when they arrived so my aunt would not be confused about what was happening. The companion arrived just seconds before I did. As we both got out of our cars at my aunt’s home, I realized it was the angel I had seen at my physical therapy appointments. Her client had passed away and she was now free. I knew that God had answered my prayers for a patient and kind person to arrive.
For 6 months, Sarah provided not only companion care to my aunt, but she also brought her meals for her to enjoy for dinner after Sarah left at 5pm. She also came and picked her up for church on Sunday, then to have dinner with Sarah’s family afterwards. In addition, we needed a companion seven days a week but my aunt’s confusion made that difficult. Sarah stepped up and agreed to be her companion every single day!!! Sarah was not just a companion, but a friend to my aunt.
Sadly, we had to make the difficult decision to move my aunt to a memory care facility for her personal safety. Like other Alzheimer’s patients, she began to wander during the night. Until we could get her two dogs rehomed, Sarah continued to assist me in letting the dogs out several times during the day and getting them fed. She also helped me start cleaning out my aunt’s home after we moved her. Now Sarah visits my aunt at her memory care facility.
I honestly feel that Sarah and Lifestar are angels on earth. Not one time did I ever have any reservations or uneasy feelings about the care Sarah provided to my aunt. Sarah was quick to call or text me with information regarding her care or needs while she was with us.
I would recommend Lifestar without reservations. They are extremely accommodating and their pricing is very competitive for the industry. I am so thankful God put them in our lives. They were truly a blessing to us during such a difficult time and now we have Sarah as a life-long friend. Call them to assist you with your loved one. Renee S. Snyder

We moved my 99 year old mother in to my home and we needed additional help to cook and care for mom. Lifestar provided us with an excellent lady to help with mom. She always went above and beyond and built a relationship with my mom She worked in our home for a year We recently transitioned mom into a long term nursing facility and the lady helped us with transitioning mom and helping her get acclimated This agency is great I would definitely recommend them to anyone Great company.

We were so pleased with the care our mother received. We chose this company because they were family owned, rather than corporate, and the difference was night and day! Previously, we had used corporate companies.
Unfortunately, the day before Lifestar started with Mother, she sustained a fall (while with the hospice aide), Mother's care changed dramatically and unexpectedly on the day before the caregiver started! Everything they were prepared for was changed over night!
How people respond when life throws a curveball tells a lot about their character. Matt personally checked on the caregiver to assess her level of comfort with the completely changed environment and the caregiver, although unfamiliar with the new set of needs and care, jumped right in to help. Matt also made sure that I had regular contact, "taking my temperature" as we all made adjustments.
I couldn't have done it without Mother's caregiver being such a great team player and a kind and gentle presence in the home. I know she was outside of her comfort zone, but she never flinched from helping, and was confident enough to communicate what she was not prepared to do. A true professional. My mother truly needed a team with a moral, ethical, and work-ethic compass that pointed due north, and that is what she got.

For the past year I have utilized Lifestar Home Care for assistance with my mother and father. I met with Matt and is wife Mariela who own and manage the business. They were the kindest soles I've come across in home care. We used another agency prior to Lifestar and though they were good we had a lot of inconsistency with our caregivers. Since we have been with Lifestar we have had a very consistent home care team. Tiffany has been our "lead" caregiver and is basically part of our family. As conditions have continued to change with my parents, Matt, Mariela, and their team have been right there to adjust the care needs. I live out of state and despite visiting often I do have to travel and at times do not get a chance to see my parents for a few weeks. The communication they provide has been outstanding and I never miss a beat. I get updates on any potential issues coming regarding change of condition and if there is a great accomplishment or moment for celebration their team keeps me in the loop. I could not think of using any other Home Care Agency to provide service for my parents. I am so grateful and thankful!

We had previously had a very bad experience with a 'brand-name home based companion care in OKC, for care of my mother/father in laws. (Items were stolen!) This time, we researched and interviewed with extreme caution and not a blind-eye for care for my mother in law, when she was determined to stay home after a big fall.
Matt and his team fit perfectly into what we needed. He was very caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable- taking into account: what we needed, Bernice's personality and her likes/dislikes and knowing his team of workers. He set up a great schedule, but was flexible (probably to a fault with her desires).
The team of workers were dependable to meet her needs and also gave her the privacy that she desired. They prepared her meals, kept her on track with her meds, and did light housework. They were able to drive her to appointments, and be our eyes and ears when needed. Sometimes, they would split the trip- by driving her to the appointment, but then letting us take her from there.

Matt Rogers and his team at Lifestar were amazing! I called and they were able to get me help with my great grandfather the same night! They were very understanding and helpful in the process! Lifestar Home Care is an incredible Home Health Care provider in the area. They have taken care of my parents for a few months and the care is off the charts. The company goes above and beyond to make sure Mom and Dad are comfortable. Matt and his team are great and very accommodating. My parents resisted receiving aides for the longest time and Lifestar made the transition seamless and they couldn't be any happier. Thank you Lifestar!
