GI complaints are very common, but they have a massive impact on our patients’ lives and deserve our full attention. My patients have the right to receive help and support from family, caregivers, and friends. I am more than happy to include them in my patients’ treatment plans. Care should involve as much of the family as the patient wants. My patients often remark on my teaching. I have a way of explaining complicated medical terms in a way that anyone can understand. Everyone deserves an answer to what’s causing their symptoms. I work with my patients to get to the root cause of the problem that brought them to my door. Whether it’s ordering tests, trying new medications, or perhaps using an alternative therapy, together, we can find a solution to help them feel their best.
