I was drawn to pulmonary medicine because of my desire to know my patients and understand nuanced presentations of pulmonary diseases. Proper treatment of these diseases can have a hugely positive impact on everything my patients do. My patients and I have the best relationship when we engage in shared decision-making. I have trained and studied pulmonary medicine for years, but my patients know their experiences, values, and goals best.
