We were about to close on our house in 15 hours and realized we had not obtained an HVAC maintenance as stated in our contract. So very helpful and calmed me down when sweet lady answering the phone assured me somebody would come first thing in the morning before closing.
Very thorough and professional. Will definitely call again.

Ben was great, he did what he was supposed to do. Make money for the company. Prices are way over priced. I appreciate the professionalism he provide, but not satisfied with the purpose of the visit. Again I wanna stress that Ben seems to be a great guy, but push less on making money and actually care about the satisfaction of the potential client. Not satisfied at all. $109 is not a lot of money today. But I didn't get my money's worth.! Your company will never get any business from me or my neighbors. I paid without a problem, to be told I need to spend more money, if I don't "update my unit, today!" A small amount to pay for a company I would never use and to make sure NO ONE I KNOW USES!!!

Omar Ortiz came out to perform my generator inspection and did an outstanding job. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the generator was operating properly and safely before he left.
His attention to detail and willingness to answer my questions really stood out. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work and cares about doing the job right. I truly appreciate the excellent service and would highly recommend Omar Ortiz to anyone needing generator service or inspection.

Too much to say, will update. When I have more time. Private equity ruined this company. Would not recommend. Find a local and privately owned company that cares about craftsmanship, the customer, and not just getting your money. Their poor craftsmanship almost caused a house fire. Thank goodness we were home when our oven exploded - this was after they improperly installed a new electrical panel and didn’t realize it was not properly grounded. Sent out multiple electricians and a different company diagnosed the problem. Their electrician came back out and confirmed craftsmanship but the new GM did not take responsibility for all the appliances that blew after installing the electrical panel.

Accutemp was so fast at repairing our water heater issue. We had an electrical issue and I called them as a new client at midnight on Friday and they were here the next morning. Our issue was completely fixed by 11am Saturday. Tommy is the best. He was so professional and helpful. Mason was great as well. He fixed our electrical issue so fast and we were able to have hot water again. I highly recommend Accutemp.

Tony was an amazing electric tech. He came out early, was clean and respectful, and got right to work. He photoed and documented all work along the way and had great attention to detail. He worked a long day to make sure everything got re-wired today as we were in a time crunch. I highly recommend Tony for any electrical work you may have.

I had an excellent experience with the Chas Patterson from Accutemp. He arrived on time, was professional and courteous, and was very knowledgeable in explaining everything related to the system and the repairs needed. He took the time to thoroughly inspect the unit, clearly explain the issue, and walk me through the repair process in a way that was easy to understand, answering all of my questions without rushing.

The repair was completed efficiently, and he made sure the system was working properly before leaving. I also appreciated how respectful he was of my home, leaving the area clean and organized. Since the service, my HVAC system has been running smoothly and efficiently. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of reliable and knowledgeable HVAC repair.

Tre Cannon was the AccuTemp Service Man who serviced both of my AC/Heater Units. I have had many different service men over the years with different companies. No one has ever been as thorough in checking my units nor has anyone been as comprehensive in explaining everything done with photos verifying the process and results. If there was a higher rating than 5 star he would get it. Very professional and I was extremely pleased. Thank you Tre (Bradley Tre Cannon)!!

I chose Accutemp because of their strong reviews and booked an appointment through their website. They were very responsive and called the next morning to confirm, which I appreciated. However, I was then told there is a $70 charge just to obtain a quote.

This was disappointing, since I’ve recently completed several large projects — including over 300 feet of cedar fencing, a concrete slab, and a whole-house generator. For each project, I obtained three quotes and did not have to pay a fee for any of them. In fact, I chose the highest bids in every case because those companies provided the value I was looking for.

A $70 fee simply to receive a quote feels out of step with industry standards, especially when most reputable contractors are willing to earn business by demonstrating their value upfront.

We have been on the maintenance plan for 7 years. My AC was working fine, tech came out to service system and did not work when tech left. Another tech came out the next day to see the issue and determined it was a bad capacitor. AccuTemp billed me $110 for the dispatch issue that they caused. The tech even looked me in the eyes and said that I would not be billed for the dispatch. After 7 years of paying these guys monthly, they won’t get another dime from me.

The intake coordinator/dispatch operator, I can’t exactly remember her name but I believe it was Kierdra maybe, was AWESOME! She was personable, understanding & helpful!! She was so caring & easy to talk to that I immediately felt relief after our call ended because I knew she was getting me the assistance I needed quickly. I wish I would have written down her full name to send her a huge THANK YOU!
Noah Brackett & Chase Keller were dispatched to my home on Saturday July 26, 2025 to assess an urgent HVAC/Plumbing issue. They worked together to solve the problem. Both were extremely knowledgeable, communicative, personal, considerate & respectful. They explained the issues, options, processes, & quotes. They were very thorough, answered my questions, and educated me on the basic mechanics of my home HVAC & Plumbing situation. They are both subject matter experts in their trade. They went above and beyond, ensuring there wasn’t water leaking in my attic that had the potential of resulting in significant damage & repair costs. Noah and Chase were like having a friend of the family over to help you in a time of need. I cannot say enough good things about these two young men. I was extremely impressed with their exceptional quality of service. The team was wonderful & accutemp services, both past and present, are OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend accutemp to others. I am a customer for life.

DO NOT use the electrical services of this company. They specialize in price gouging. They wanted $900 to replace six smoke alarms and $250 to check a ceiling fan that had lights flickering with no guarantee they would actually fix it. Apparently they are not interested in repeat customers. You have been warned.

This place is totally unprofessional. I took of from work for a scheduled appointment that they canceled and wanted to reschedule for tomorrow. I have never had a company to have such a difficult time providing services. It’s like they got one employee working for them.

I have never seen a company that have the worst scheduling service. I have called a week ahead to schedule my Friday service for plumbing kitchen sink and toilet repair. I have taken whole day off waiting, so they would call me to tell me they have bigger jobs scheduled elsewhere. I got mad and told them that I waited whole day I need service asap. They told me they will send someone over Saturday afternoon. I waited all day again. Called them and they told me that my service is not emergency so they want to schedule me on monday!!!! Screw this company. I will give my money someone else! You set your priority on bigger jobs tells me how much you care about money, not customer service!

My wife called them out to replace two toilets, which we provided. They claimed the flanges were broken, and as a result the price would be $2300. A flange cost around $20-30, and replacing it is a standard part of installing a new toilet. The typical cost of replacing a toilet is around $200. So, they tried to screw us out of $1900. I guess they assumed my wife was an idiot??

I'm sharing this information to potentially save someone else from having this same experience. We are/were Accutemp Star customers. After a scheduled check of our system Accutemp suggested a thorough cleaning of our system was in order. The cost of this service was $2200.00+ and included removing the blowers for cleaning of any dust, lint, etc. The work was done in November 2024 and then the problems started. Within a week we had a tapping sound that developed in our bedroom unit. We called Accutemp, they dispatched techs and they quickly determined that the blower fan was not secured back in the unit with screws. So they secured it and all was well for a while. A few weeks later we had a noise develop on another unit that was a very heavy humming sound. Another crew was dispatched in December and they determined that the door was not secured to a service panel and a transformer was the source of the noise. So they put some foam rubber in the service panel and secured the door. Now with the extreme cold weather that has been in the area for the last few days we noticed that two of our units were not blowing properly. The units would fire up with the blower in low mode but after warming it would not kick up to the high mode to blow air properly. Called Accutemp, tech made it out yesterday checked units and determined that both blower motors are bad. I questioned if this problem was related to the fact that they had removed those blower motors for cleaning and had caused a problem with then. They, of course, denied any liability and would not even give any consideration, ie, discount, on the replacement price. It is not coincidental that they removed all three blowers and now two of them are not working properly and the other one was not reinstalled properly. Accutemp is all about profit for the company and no consideration for the customer. I would not recommend them to anyone and now have another company that is performing the work for less money even though we are a "Star" customer paying a fee for special handling to Accutemp. It seems to me Accutemp is just a bunch of bloodsuckers constantly trying to up sell you on additional work. If you are considering Accutemp I urge you to reconsider. There are better and more economical choices in our area.

Absolute scam of a company. As a residential handyman with 20 years of experience, it breaks my heart to witness what has become of the big name repair companies. They do not employee competent or capable technicians, and the entire staff is more kin to car salesman than trade workers. Here are the details. Very recently, my friend called Accutemp because their !6 year old! AC system was not cooling. They were aware that there was a leak somewhere, but had not taken the time to try and find it, and just kept recharging it every few months. Pretty typical situation every single HVAC technician has seen and dealt with. When Accutemp arrived, the responding technician did a suspiciously pisspoor quick job of looking for and detecting the leak, and then claimed they could not find ANY trace or a single sign of the dye they charged the line with, and that the only 2 options they had, were to have him just charge the lines, FOR $1600, OR THEY COULD LOCK THEM IN TO REPLACING THEIR ENTIRE, 6 YEAR OLD CENTRAL AC SYSTEM WITH A LEAK FOR $21,000... But because Accutemp is SUCH a generous and understanding company, they offered them a deal of a meesly $19,000 if they IMMEDIATELY PAID A
LARGE DEPOSIT, AND SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR ACCUTEMP TO START THE WORK THE VERY NEXT DAY. Anyone with a brain and has read this far allready knows exactly what is going on. I've personally installed entire residential central AC system with my own 2 hands. And I know for an absolute fact, that a brand new condensor and air handler with cost you $5000. Feel free to fact check me on that real quick. Now the worst run companies will possibly charge 100% labor cost. And in the case that you spend a generous $7000 on the new units, that would bring the total price to $14,000. Now any competent adult whomhas had to replace their AC system will tell you they spent anywhere from $8500-$12000. Anyone else realy confused where Accutemp got $21,000? And why they required them to drop a deposit and sign a contract for the next day? Could it be the fact that AC install and repair business typically takes a big dip this time of year? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️🤷. I asked my friend to give me 5 minutes to search for this elusive leak. And after taking the charge port caps off, wouldnt you know, I found a very familiar, oily residue and gunk buildup around the threads. When I asked if the technician even bothered to check the stem valves, the first thing a technician would suspect is causing the leak, they could not find anything mentioned in the technicians notes. My friend then tried to reason with Accutemp about possibly holding off so that simpler, cheaper, and more rational fixes could be attempted. And at the very least, try and determine which of the 3 parts of thier AC system, condensor, line set, or air handler, was actually leaking, as it makes perfect sense to only replace that part. A task that a big company like Accutemp should be more than qualified and capable of handling. But after more of their high pressure snake oil sales tactics, they convinced my friend to let them do the work anyway, with a promise that they would double check and make sure of all his concerns were addressed before starting the work. As I'm sure you can guess, an entire service team, department supervisor and all, failed to identify the very typical and simple leak issue, and pressured my friend into spending 20k, to replace an entire 6 year old central air system, with no operational issues other than a coolant leak, in the middle of winter. And you better believe, Accutemp was more than generously happy to haul my freinds "old and broken" units off for them at no extra cost. You are truly a credit to our Baton Rouge community guys. Diligently doing your part to shame and emberass an entire field of tradesmen and technicians, while gutting and taking advantage of the desperate and vulnerable people in our community. 👏
