I just moved to the US and where I'm from we didn't have to drive. It is very important for me to be able to drive in the US and even though I could ask a friend or family to teach me, I chose BAL driving school. I took 12 lessons with Roger and he was so patient, so attentive and I felt safe driving with him as my instructor. There was a lot of repetition and I think that's very important to build my confidence. I would highly recommend Roger if you're an adult learner! I passed my test and I got my license!

Bal was great, same day testing very honest and by the book. Made me be able to relax and not be to nervous for drive test. When my children are old enough to drive I would trust this man and company with there safety, knowledge and ability to have confidence in there driving. 10/10 in every category. Thank you Bal! I had to get my written and driving test done so I could spend Christmas with my girlfriend and her family and they scheduled me and no problem. My daughter did get Drivers Ed through BAL and it was such a pleasant experience from the beginning. It was all all inclusive, she was able to take all her schooling as well as all the required testing for WA State which made it so much more convenient. It’s a family owned business and everyone is polite, friendly and just overall great. I definitely recommend this school and give them five stars

Bal Driving School is a phenomenal place to learn how to drive as an adult learner. Bal and Rikki were fantastic and patient instructors who are well versed in teaching and extremely knowledgeable about the matters of driving instructions and laws.

To schedule sessions there, phone calls are the best means, there is no online booking, and cash payments are simplest, that way one can avoid any service fees with card payments.

The Bellingham location is extremely easy to find, and the cars there are wonderful to drive.

Thank you so much Bal and Rikki for helping me throughout this particular journey of getting my drivers license.

Best driving school in the city!
We've been to all the driving schools in town, and Bal was by far the best.
The staff are wonderful, and Bal's driving instructor is understanding and honest.
Unlike the other schools around, at Bal, I didn't feel like I was only there because i was paying for it, I really felt i was there for a service that was delivered upon.
I am a very aware (teen) driver and an over achiever, but once it comes to an actual test, especially a paid one, i start getting nervous and I doubt my abilities. Having a driving instructor who really does want you to pass, and wants to help you grow really put me at ease, and let me get past the exam.
To all the other people like me who went to a different driving school first (Nelson's) and felt like you were being exploited for your money, this place is far better. We will definitely be coming back in the future for all driving needs.

Excellent company! We needed to schedule a last minute driving test for my daughter before her DOL appointment for her drivers license. These guys are amazing! I highly recommend using them. Very professional and will go out of their way to make sure you get your license. Went as far as to come in on Sunday when they were closed so I could take the drive test since work prevents me from doing it during their normal business hours!

I would 100% recommend Bal Driving school. I had no driving experience prior to attending Bal Driving school and was very nervous and hesitant to begin driving. The school slowly built my confidence in driving and now I feel like I have the knowledge to drive in any circumstance. All instructors were very patient and taught safe and defensive driving techniques. Due to their flexibility and understanding, scheduling and re-scheduling lessons was very easy. I just recently passed my driving test on the first try after 20 hours of lessons. I had a great experience!

What a great experience! Called Monday and they were able to get my son in by Wednesday for his drivers test. For a few extra dollars he was able to use their car for the drive.
With 2 more teenagers to go, this is definitely where we'll be going, and referring to.
