The food here is authentic and absolutely delicious. The service was Great! I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat some good food.

Tried the birria tacos here tonight and had a pretty unique experience. This is a style that comes out of Jalisco, where birria originates, and they prepare it a little differently than the tacos most people are used to. The tortillas were thicker and very soft, and they grilled the cheese directly on the plancha before adding the birria on top. It creates a crispy cheese layer that’s attached to the tortilla. Interesting technique and not something I see very often.

The staff was friendly and the turnaround time on a phone order to-go was quick, which I appreciated.

Parking in the area isn’t the easiest, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re picking up an order.

Flavor-wise it wasn’t my favorite birria I’ve had, but the preparation style was unique enough that I’d definitely be willing to come back and try a few other things on the menu.

La Poblana Mexican Grill in Thousand Oaks offers decent food, but it fell short of expectations for the price. While the flavors were good, they didn’t quite justify the cost. The service, however, was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout. The café’s location is convenient and easy to reach. Overall, a nice spot for a casual meal, but not exceptional value. Spent approximately $45 for one meal and one appetizer along with one bottled beverage.

Food is authentic and amazing. Tried the Birria Mulitas, Carnitas Torta with fries, Jamaica (hibiscus tea)and Champurado. They even gave me a sample of the menudo to try, which was delicious! BTW they also make their own tortillas. It's very small with only a few tables and all were full on a Friday at lunch. Take out would be a good option. Finally, real Mexican food in the Conejo Valley. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
