I hired Tri County Glass in September to install mirrors for our home gym. After several rounds of estimates, we settled on 1/8-inch acrylic mirrors. The installer, Mike, arrived several hours late, but this allowed me to notice that the material was extremely thin and would cause significant distortion. We halted the installation midway and opted for a different material. We weren't informed in advance about the potential for distortion, though Mike mentioned they were trying to stay within our budget.

Following more estimates, we upgraded to 1/4-inch acrylic mirrors under Tri County Glass's guidance, as they assured us this would resolve the distortion issues from the thinner material. My research confirmed this is a standard choice for commercial gyms due to its shatter-resistant properties. The second installation occurred on October 3. They credited some of our original payment toward the new project, except for one non-returnable sheet of 1/8-inch mirror. I didn't feel I should be responsible for that cost given the lack of upfront disclosure about distortion, but as a small business, I let it go to move forward.

At the end of the second installation, the mirrors still exhibited severe distortion. We were advised to let the adhesive dry, but I documented the issue and notified them immediately that it was unacceptable. After further discussions, they proposed replacing the acrylic with glass mirrors. However, the original estimate had been $3,800 for 132 square feet of glass, while the new "repair" estimate was $3,300 for only 78 square feet—which didn't make sense. They claimed this was at cost with no additional labor charges. Although we'd paid a total of $1,896 for the two failed installations, they only offered to apply $1,306 as credit toward the glass option. Since commercial gyms successfully use acrylic mirrors without distortion issues, their solution to switch to glass doesn't address the underlying problem, which appears to be with the installation process itself. Had they disclosed upfront that achieving a true, undistorted reflection would require spending more than $3,000, I never would have proceeded with the project.

I explained that expecting us to incur additional costs was not fair, as we'd agreed to a properly installed set of 1/4-inch acrylic mirrors. My own research suggested that backing the mirrors with MDF boards could provide the necessary stiffness to eliminate distortion, so I proposed they add this at no additional cost—but they never responded to the offer. As of November 10, we're left with severely distorted, unusable mirrors and will likely need to hire another company to remove them before proceeding with replacements. This removal process will also damage the drywall, leading to even more repair costs on my end.

I notified them multiple times that if we couldn't reach a satisfactory resolution, I'd need to dispute the charges. They responded that if I didn't pay the remaining balance of $774, they would take further action—I found their attempt to collect the remainder absurd, since the job was not completed to any reasonable person's level of acceptability. Overall, this has been a frustrating experience with poor communication, subpar materials, and inadequate resolutions. I cannot recommend Tri County Glass and advise others to seek alternatives for mirror installations.

They replaced two windows in my mobile home. They came out the same day to board up a broken window before our snow event. They were quick to get replacements made, did EXCELLENT work, super friendly, and communication through the process was superb! We will use them for all future glass needs.

I had another glass company attempt a repair on two small chips in the windshield in August of 2023. I was unhappy with the results immediately but dealt with it until June 2024 when I called Jessica and Mike. They immediately setup an appointment and came to my job and replaced the windshield and re calibrated my lane keeping assist etc. Professional, fast and excellent quality. I would recommend them to anyone who needs any type of glass work completed. Thank for an EXCELLENT job.
