I went to the club to see Isidora perform. While I was there, I recorded a very short video to send to her afterward. I was then approached by someone from security and told that I had to leave the club.
First, I was not aware that recording was not allowed. If there is a policy prohibiting guests from recording, I believe it should be clearly communicated to people when they enter the event or club. I had no intention of causing any problem or violating any rules.
What disappointed me the most was the way the situation was handled. The security staff were extremely rude and did not give me a warning or properly explain the situation before asking me to leave. The woman in charge of the rooftop asked me if I understood what she was saying. I was standing next to the DJ and answered that I did not understand. She then responded, “I will kick you out,” without properly explaining who she was, what rule I had violated, or giving me an opportunity to correct my mistake.
Even the person who escorted me out seemed surprised by the situation. The entire experience was handled in a very disrespectful and unprofessional manner.
I paid a $30 entrance fee to come and enjoy the DJs with my friends. We came to the club to have a good time, but the way your team handled this situation completely ruined the experience.
If recording is not permitted, I understand that rules need to be followed. However, guests should be informed of those rules and treated with basic courtesy and respect. Kicking someone out without a warning or a reasonable explanation—especially when they were unaware of the policy—is extremely disappointing.
I hope management takes this complaint seriously and reviews how your security and staff handle situations like this in the future. I am sure this is not the first time an issue like this has happened, and I hope steps are taken to make sure other customers do not have the same experience.

I usually love this place, but the last time I went there I had a pretty traumatizing experience. This club has a no phone policy. They had told me once about it early in the night, but I forgot (being that this was my first time at a club with a rule like that). I had taken my phone out to take a selfie and was immediately told to leave. The security escorted me out without the opportunity to let my group know.
This was such a downer. And being that I am from out of town, a pretty small lady, and not used to cities like Dc, I didn't want to explore the city alone.
So I ended up spending most of my night waiting outside for my friends.

Typically I love this place, but after my recent visit I won’t be back.
I completely understand having a no-photo policy, and I made an honest mistake. I was taking a quick picture of two friends in the corner with no DJ, decor, or anything else in the background, and I simply forgot about the policy. Earlier in the night I had also been spoken to for having my phone out, even though I hadn’t taken any photos…
What was disappointing wasn’t the policy—it was how it was enforced. Security and staff were unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. I immediately apologized and offered to put my phone in my purse so it wouldn’t happen again, but instead I was told I had to leave. I wasn’t even given the opportunity to tell the rest of my group what was happening before security began escorting me toward the exit.
As a woman, being escorted by myself from the rooftop all the way out to the street without being allowed to speak to my friends made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, our group was there celebrating a birthdar and made up roughly 20 of the 25 people on the rooftop. As soon as I was removed, the rest of our party left as well, leaving the rooftop nearly empty.
Policies are one thing, but treating paying customers with respect is another. The way this situation was handled was completely disproportionate and left a lasting negative impression. Unfortunately, they lost not only my business, but the business of our entire group.

I want to like this place. Layout is very cool, rooftop, bar very accessible, good bathroom availability, temperature is controlled. But God the DJs on the night I went are lazy and are frankly bad. For $30/pp, maybe I'm spoiled by NĂĽAndroids/AI Popups, but these DJs sound like total amateurs and appear to just be playing with FruityLoops for 3 hours. A lot of the time they weren't even standing near the decks. For the price, the venue needs way better talent than what I saw tonight. I want to like this place, and I'll plan on coming back when I can actually validate the talent because the curation must be wanting. I agree with other reviewers that the people providing the tickets seem really unnecessarily hostile/rude. I personally didn't have/see any issues with security.

Only been a few times, but it's always been great. Staff is solid, generally let people dance in peace, and door staff have let us go in and out when we left stuff in our car. Free photo booth, staff will set it up for you 20 times if you want that many.
Drinks are pricier than a bar, but welcome to the music scene.
Tickets are cheap, the hours are late, you can see multiple artists in one night, and you don't have to deal with rave paparazzi. If you actually came to dance to the music and you're happy to check out folks you might not have heard of, bring earplugs, this is your new spot.
