Dr. Liang received her medical degree with honors from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her internship and internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her fellowship in cardiovascular medicine and underwent additional training in advanced echocardiography at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. During this time, she also obtained her masters degree in Patient Oriented Research from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Her research focuses on improving outcomes in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Dr. Liang sees patients in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center, where she specializes in the diagnosis and management of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center utilizes all the resources at the medical center to provide comprehensive care including advanced cardiac imaging, invasive septal reduction therapies (septal myectomy or alcohol septal ablation) when indicated, and cardiogenetics.
