Dr. Kremser's special interest in sports medicine began at a young age. As an athlete and a fan, he witnessed numerous sports-related injuries and was intrigued by the athletes' road to recovery. He is originally from Cologne, Germany, and decided to pursue a career in sports medicine after a high school internship with the team physician for the NFL Europe Cologne Centurions football team. Dr. Kremser chose to become a physician in the United States after an experience as an exchange student in Bardstown, Kentucky, where he met his future wife and made lifelong friends.
