Primary care providers need lots of different skills, but above all compassion and knowing how to listen. One of the best parts of any patient encounter is getting to hear someone's story: where they're from, how they got to where they are and where they want to go. Patients want to be heard and supported. I'm honored to be a part of their journey. I see all ages, from newborn to end of life. I couldn't pick just one age group that I enjoy the most. I've enjoyed every patient encounter with every age group. If I could offer my patients one piece of advice, find a primary care provider.
