Both Yucca Court and Ms. Carolyn's were founded by Mrs. Freda Sanders, the mother of five children, grandmother of nine, and great-grandmother of three. Mrs. Sanders later turned the management of Ms. Carolyn's over to her youngest daughter, Carolyn Usategui who has three children and three grandchildren of her own.
