Today, Friday May 7 between 11am & noon, while dropping off a package, a floppy beach hat I sold on Poshmark to have some extra money during the pandemic because I’m in a high risk category, an older woman working at the Canada Post office inside the Rexall in Picton took her mask off when I dropped off my package. Whatever her reason was for removing her mask, she was literally one step away from a private back room which should could have entered so as to not break the current law requiring all people to wear masks in public, but she didn’t. She removed her mask right in front of me. When I asked to speak to her manager, she called over a man who I have a hard time believing that as actually the manager given how unprofessional he was. I told him what happened and he just said “okay”, as someone who worked in charity management for over 10 years... anyone with any experience managing anything knows you apologize to the customer. Especially if they have not only broken the law but put a vulnerable person at risk during a pandemic, in a pharmacy. Truly disgusting behaviour and follow up. I will never be back and will advise others to do the same. This review was also forwarded to the local public health unit.
