I’m sharing this story so others can be warned. My friends and I went into this dollar tree and left without buying anything since they were about to close. An employee immediately chased us out and took photos of our car, yelling at us and accusing us of stealing. One of my friends is black and the other is Mexican. He screamed that he was calling the police while we tried to calmly explain that we hadn’t stolen anything, and that he could check our bags and pockets for proof. He kicked us out as we were literally trying to show our innocence. This was blatant discrimination and racism. Stay FAR away from this place if you don’t want to be harassed for your skin color.

I recently went to the Dollar Tree at 17525 Hwy 99 in Lynnwood, and Angelo checked out my items. He was so kind, helpful and professional that I asked for his name so that I could write a review. Thanks, Dollar Tree for hiring such a great guy.

Outstanding Customer Service Recognition – Store #8825, Lynnwood, WA
Today I visited Dollar Tree Store #8825, located at 17525 Highway 99, Suite A, Lynnwood, Washington, and I felt compelled to share my experience.
In a world where customer service often feels rushed, distracted, or transactional, two young men, Rodney and Christian, reminded me what exceptional service looks like.
What impressed me wasn't simply that they were polite. It was their attention to detail, their ability to make each customer feel seen, their professionalism, their sense of humor, and their genuine human connection. They paid attention to people—not just purchases.
Even as the store became busy and the customer traffic increased, they never appeared overwhelmed. They remained focused, patient, engaged, and attentive to every person they served. That level of consistency is rare.
In fact, I found myself returning to the store twice. I told myself I needed another item, but if I'm being truthful, I think I was returning because the experience itself was enjoyable. Great service has a way of doing that.
Whatever management is doing at this location is working. Rodney and Christian are outstanding representatives of your company and deserve recognition for the positive impression they create.
Please extend my appreciation to them and to the leadership team responsible for fostering such an excellent customer experience.
Respectfully,
Marvin Crawford
