It's disappointing seeing how bad customers have been treated here from the reviews and also seeing they have no pennies to give our proper amount cash back from purchases me and other customers notice they just keep our owed money instead of them supplying the cash register properly. This is the only store that steals customers change and she didn't care to get a manager or tell me until I realized what she gave me back when I approached her she says we have no pennies and dont do returns BUT YOU GUYS EXPECT US TO PAY THE EXACT AMOUNT POCKET OUR MONEY TAX FREE IS CRAZY! I WON'T SHOP HERE AGAIN! next it will be something different to take our money.

Terrible, I asked sincere to take something off and she said ātheir all the same priceā , one I didnāt ask , and two yes I know iām not getting any of them so why does it matter? Iām not from here and things are priced differently where I live. Then she proceeded to say many things under her breath and when I asked she seemed surprised I asked what was she saying.

Had such a disappointing experience in this store today. I have shopped here for well over 8 years and never had a thing to complain about (except maybe the long line at check out) as this store is always short staffed. However, today as I stood in another long line patiently... 2 people ahead of me and 3 behind me, I could SEE 2 employees standing by the front office talking. One of these employees was the store manager (according to the cashier at the register). When it was my turn to put my items on the belt, I had a basket with 8 items in it. I was TOLD (not asked) to take all of my items out of the basket. No problem. I did so. Then, I was TOLD to put my basket away. The baskets are located by the front door. So she cashier wanted me to leave my items on the belt and walk across the store to put my own basket back? I was a little stunned by this. I removed the empty basket from the belt and held it while I waited in line for her to ring up my items. I won't lie, I thought about walking out and leaving everything there. But that wouldn't be kind to the people behind me who were also waiting patiently. When the cashier got to me and started to ring up my items, knowing I was a bit surprised by her rude request to put my basket away says, "It's not my rule. It's what the manager tells me to do and she is in charge." I stated, "That is poor customer service." The cashier responded with, "what do you do at HEB?" I stated, "I leave my basket at the register." The cashier tells me that she always puts her own basket back. I explained that is her choice but not typical. The cashier repeats, "it's the manager's rule and I'm just doing what I was told." And then continues to tell me that I shouldn't expect much because it is a Dollar Tree and it's a "poor store" and they don't make much. You know, I don't expect a lot but this might be it for me. There are a LOT of other Dollar Tree stores in New Braunfels. This one just happened to be on my way to work. A trip I likely will not make again.
Shame on the cashier and shame on her manager... smile, be kind to all and at the VERY least, ask people if they wouldn't mind returning their baskets. I would have done it happily if the cashier had asked and not had such a poor attitude.

They are all set for Christmas and Thanksgiving. So much to look at. Great prices. Arts and crafts. Frozen food. So much to look at.

Great store. Always well stocked. They do not have bathrooms open to public during the pandemic. At home is right next door and thier restrooms are open to public. Other dollar tree location on I35 next to big lots has thier bathrooms closed as well but big lots has thier restrooms open. Just putting this out there for an "FYI"
