Everyone was very kind, but my manicure was sadly a bit disappointing. I wanted something different than the quick walk-in nail salons because my nails had been ruined by one previously. They had finally grown back to regular strength and I wanted to go somewhere that would focus on a quality manicure - I was more interested in the manicure than the nail polish when booking. I booked a signature, but the tech said on her side it said Shellac. We went back and forth about it, eventually I gave in and just got Shellac since she convinced me it would be better. Application was thin and beautiful, but I didn’t receive the massage that I thought came with it since the description said “make hands, fingers and forearms feel refreshed”. Then not even a week later they started chipping. I expected shellac to last longer since that was the whole point of shifting from regular polish to shellac.

Jeannie and Anna gave my husband and I the best upper body massages! It literally brought me to tears. Anna was so attentive and asked my husband about pressure. Jeannie got every kink out of my body! It brought me to tears it was that good. We will be back as much as we can work it into our busy schedule! We walked out feeling brand new.

I really love this Salon! I go here frequently for blowouts. The staff are great! Everyone is so kind! I seriously love this place. The place itself is so aesthetically pleasing, I could like totally just get lost in the beauty of that salon.

Deserves zero stars. Went here a few times because my hair stylist was here (now at a much better place with nicer people). I booked with my hairstylist MULTIPLE times online and in person. Yet; at the time of my appointment they stuck me with random people. Not only that, the prices are outrageous. I booked an updo with my stylist (who had cheaper price options) for my prom. I got stuck with a random person who was almost DOUBLE THE PRICE. Staff were rude and prices are outrageous. I have gone to any other location and had phenomenal services, with better pricing. Save yourself $400 and never go to this location.

My stylist was super friendly and easy to talk to. We talked through the process and she gave me accurate pricing. Another lady dried and styled my hair and in the moment I thought it looked ok until I got home. I asked for a face framed balayage that would look natural when my darker roots grew in more. What I got was a weird jagged line on one side and something else on the other. I included my before and the inspo photo as well and while I know there are many factors and it won’t be exact, this just didn’t seem to hit the mark and my one side is embarrassing unfortunately.

My friend went in for a simple foil appointment and left with a massive bald spot that was not there when she arrived. The stylist, Anna C, clearly rushed through the appointment and left her with severe damage to her scalp and hair. What’s worse? My friend tipped her $45—not realizing the damage until after she got home. That’s beyond unacceptable.

This wasn’t a small mistake—this was careless, reckless, and completely unprofessional. Anna made her feel like an inconvenience the entire time, like she just wanted to get it over with. My friend trusted this place and walked out devastated.

Save your money, your hair, and your dignity. Do not trust Anna C. and do not book with Design 1 Cascade.

Would not recommend, (I too have my cosmetology license.)
Just tried to go back to my natural hair color (brown) with stylist Michael. The consultation/introduction lacked any warmth at all (or his attention for that matter, I didn’t want warmth of red in my hair?)
The first thing I did was pull out a reference photo, explaining what I would like it to be similar to, and goals I wanted to achieve. This being a simpler task than most, it being an all over color. There was confusion in the conversation. I wasn’t confident in moving forward with the coloring process. At this point I say “just so we are on the same page, we can get it similar to this color correct?” Like is this achievable for you? (Pulling out the photo again)

“I don’t know what color that is, that’s a photo”
REFERENCE PICTURES ARE NEVER NOT HELPFUL?!
“so what color do you think that is”
“You never showed me that photo”

Just being very passive-aggressive and nothing close to good costumer service.
Ended up leaving without my hair done and tears in my eyes. Thanks design 1.

I love this place! I've been getting my hair cut here for a few years. I just went the other day for a trim. The staff are nice. They have super cool product recommendations. My hair is very easy to take care of, but the things they recommended made it look even cooler. (I need to follow through with using them more often!!) I'll put a few before and after pictures up, it's always been super cool! Left is before, right is after! Also, they gave me a 10% off coupon when I donated my hair. Ignore my long hair phase, that's a whole different girl at this point

I feel the ladies at the front desk could use some training in how they treat the customers. The last 3 times the same lady was very snide with her responses. Or would ignore when I spoke.
Now my stylist Jerica is an absolute sweetheart. She’s very professional and knows her stuff. Listens to your wants and gives helpful thoughts and inputs if you ask. Always makes you feel so beautiful. She’s very professional, always on time and so careful.

After the issue with scheduling which resulted with me having to drive an hour to get a prenatal massage, I was a bit bummed.
The massage therapist was very nice and I did enjoy her company; however, She said she couldn’t massage my lower back, she forgot to do my feet as well as one of my hands. The other parts of the massage were nice.
I spoke to a specialist in prenatal massage and she told me my lower back can absolutely be massaged.

Unimpressive, overpriced, and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. A group of us planned a spa day for my mom’s birthday. Unfortunately, she got lost driving there and was running 15 minutes late. The massage therapists assigned to us were only concerned about their schedules and not the purpose of our appointment. Shooting me nasty looks and talking down to me as I was holding up their schedule trying to make sure my mom was okay, not stranded on the road with the snow. I tried to explain to them that this appointment was a gift for my mother and this was suppose to be a relaxing experience for all of us. I tried to convey that I understand the situation we put them in by being late and understood that they would need to stop our services at the appropriate allotted time to not interrupt their next client. However this therapist silenced me, and would not listen and continued to minimize me.

If you’re looking for a relaxing spa experience, spend your money somewhere else. They do not respect their customer’s lives and treat customer as an inconvenience if the customer disrupt the therapist's precious schedule.

To the owners - treat your workers better so that they are not taking out their work frustrations on your dwindling customers.
