He has expertise in robotic surgery, hepatic arterial infusion therapy, and cytoreduction surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). Dr. Shannon earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville. He received additional training through a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. Dr. Shannon is board certified in general surgery and in complex general surgical oncology by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology. Having grown up in Pittsburgh, Dr. Shannon is grateful to be able give back and help people in this community. He welcomes patients ages 18 and older. Read more
