This was our first visit to Smashing Grapes for my friends baby brunch shower, and it was exactly what I heard from prior customers. Slow service, nice people but just incompetent with mediocre food.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful décor, welcoming atmosphere, and elegant touches throughout the restaurant. The piano added such a nice touch and really elevated the dining experience.

The service was mediocre and slow but the server was super welcoming and nice. However it Took them a good 1 hour before bread was on the table and the Bloody Mary were horrendously sweet for some odd reason. Granted yes we had a large party of 10 and from start to food on the table, it was a good 1.5 hours.

People from the are recommended black wall across the street, same ownership and it was a tad bit better

Can't say enough amazing things about this restaurant! My husband and I made reservations to celebrate our 19th Wedding Anniversary, from the moment we walked in the experience was unbelievable!!! The staff and service were on point! The food was tasteful. The presentation of the food was stellar. If ever in the area don't hesitate to visit, ask for Tom, not only was he honest but genuine. Such a kind soul! Thank you so much Tom for taking care of us on such a special occasion!

This was our first visit to Smashing Grapes for my niece’s birthday dinner, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful décor, welcoming atmosphere, and elegant touches throughout the restaurant. The piano added such a nice touch and really elevated the dining experience.

The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We started with cocktails, including a delicious gin-based signature drink and a lemon drop martini. For food, we enjoyed the charcuterie board, mussels, buffalo cauliflower, short rib pappardelle, Wagyu burger, pizza, and more. Every dish came out hot, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Presentation was a 10, and the taste was a 20.

If you’re in the Columbia area, this place is a must-visit. You can order takeout, but the dine-in experience is what truly makes Smashing Grapes special.

After being told the kitchen couldn’t do a chicken version of the penne with crab, my friend ordered a pizza (with no cheese - dietary restrictions) and was told they could put chicken and veggies on it. It arrived with no chicken, and a bunch of raw and unseasoned vegetables. That’s the first time either of us has ever had to put salt on a pizza. The bread we received was extremely hard and dry so I had to request a fresher basket. The lobster ravioli was good, but I now see why this place isn’t as busy or popular as the others in this spot.

The food was excellent, from the appetizers to the desserts. The service was stellar. Peyton was our waitress who recommended the chef special Chilean Sea Bass and a great bottle of red wine. We also had the filet mignon, mussels in garlic butter, lobster bisque, chocolate cake, and the cheesecake. ALL of these items were perfectly prepared! Peyton was the perfect mix of personable and professional. I even spoke to the manager Francisco to let him know that we truely enjoyed ourselves, the food, and the service. I will definitely be back!
