I have always loved helping others and especially enjoyed helping injured teammates during sports when I was younger. That led me to a nursing career, and for more than a decade, I worked as an emergency room nurse. Seeing the positive impact I could make during a patient's unexpected illness or… I have always loved helping others and especially enjoyed helping injured teammates during sports when I was younger. That led me to a nursing career, and for more than a decade, I worked as an emergency room nurse. Seeing the positive impact I could make during a patient's unexpected illness or injury is what inspired me to further my career and obtain my Doctor of Nursing in Family Practice. \n I strive to be compassionate and empathetic with every patient. I take all aspects of my patients' lives into consideration when providing care for them. I keep my patients as involved as possible when creating their care plans, as I believe patient involvement is key to helping them meet their health goals. \n I am originally from northern Virginia, but love calling the Charlotte area home. The Charlotte Checkers are one of my favorite teams. In fact, I'm a proud season ticket holder, and you can find me watching whenever they take the ice. I enjoy spending time with my husband, stepdaughters and our dogs, especially at the beach or on the lake. I also like to stay active and attend workout classes. Read more
