My special interests are breastfeeding support, pregnancy and working with… My career in nursing can be traced back to my childhood, when my interest in science and helping others led me to volunteer for a school nurse. \n Women's health emerged as my calling because I enjoy empowering women. My special interests are breastfeeding support, pregnancy and working with adolescents. I have been going into Forsyth County middle schools as a volunteer instructor since 2006 to help educate students about sexually transmitted diseases, personal health and contraception. \n My best friend and I married in 1991. We have a wonderful son, who now lives with his wife in Texas, where both practice law. I have two small poodles that unconditionally love on me every day. I am very active in my church, where I help care for children and direct the Christmas play. Read more
