I've been dealing with Paul's for 26 years now. I always found they had good quality at excellent prices. Rarely had any problem, and when I did, Paul went the extra mile to make sure it was right. It's the kind of shop that makes the world a better place. Not fancy. But healthy fish at a great price. Highly recommended!!!

I am in shock. I was about to go into this store today and overheard the staff and owner screaming at two customers from outside the store. I work in customer service and never in all my years have I heard staff scream at customers like this. I considered calling the police as I thought the staff was going to assault them. They were screaming and swearing, stepping towards the the customers aggressively over a "bad review" left online. The staff should be embarrassed and ashamed of their childish behaviour and lack of professionalism. As a restaurant manager I have received many complaints. You do not attack customers for giving feedback. You offer sincere apologies, help, take the feedback and learn from it to improve your store. You don't throw a tantrum like a 2 year old child.I even waited outside to speak to the customers and make sure they were ok. They were so very nice and polite and just as shocked as I. I would never even think of stepping into this store after witnessing what happened today. Especially with my one and a half year old child who demonstrates more maturity than the staff.

2 reasons for this review: 1- Bought a hang on back protein skimmer for $175. The skimmer is missing o-rings and leaked everywhere onto our hardwood floor causing tons of damage. Called the store and they told me to call the company that makes the skimmer. They took no ownership for selling my a defective product. The skimmer company has not called me back after leaving messages for two weeks. $175 wasted. 2- I went in looking for a reef safe starfish, spoke to Deb. She told me the chocolate chip starfish was reef safe. It ate my corals the same day. Called Deb and she was ever so kind to offer to take the starfish back without no exchange or refund. I trusted her when she said it was reef safe, seems she was more interested in making the sale. I have spent thousands at this store and will never be returning. Thought you should all know about what kind of service to expect!

Was there this weekend what an amazing store. I was in the market for a new tank, and was expecting to shell out at least $1000, not including fish. I got the most incredible acrylic aquarium, seamless with all the fixing for under $600.
It is beautiful. They are in the process of fixing the store up, setting up a new line of aquariums and lots of new store displays. I will be going back to buy my fish soon!!!!

Went there today and was very surprised. CHEAP PRICE AND FRIENDLY STAFF. The only downside is that there is no guarantee on fish since this is a mom & pop store. Understandable. Will definitely come back and shop.

Went here for the first time last Friday. I was very impressed. It had nice, friendly staff that were helpful. Really great compared to all other pet/aquarium stores in the area. Great variety of fresh and salt water fish, good/fair prices, and the fish tanks were clean and there wasn't any dead fish in them. I don't like it when I'm looking in a store and I see dead fish in the tanks. Overall, I had a really good experience at their store and I will absolutely be back. They now have one more fan and committed customer. I highly recommend going there, even if you are out of the area it would be worth the trip.

Paul's is the friendliest shop around. Prices are excellent and service exceptional. They know their fish, are willing to take the time to answer your questions to ensure you have success with your fish. The years of experience and knowledge and their willingness to share this with their customers is something that you will never find in a big box store. Drop by, I'm sure you will be impressed.

My dad had been going to Paul's since it was his dad's out in Van. I also have memories of rummaging through coral and learning about fish there as a child. He's stopped keeping tanks so he hasn't been in the store in a few years. I've recently started up again (now he might as well) and we went in to check it out. My dad was quite surprised to see how disorganized everything was. The people there are still great, as well as the prices, it's just messy and seems unprofessional. Unfortunately in sales, appearance makes a huge difference. I'm still going there later today to grab supplies though! :)
