In addition to clinical work, I am dedicated to improving transplant and complex surgical care through research. I have spearheaded international comparative studies in the use of extended criteria liver allografts in general, transplant, pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery and have co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications, in journals such as the American Journal of Transplant, Transplantation, Annals of Surgery, British Journal of Surgery, Nature Communications, the Lancet, and the New England Journal of Medicine. I have been a peer reviewer and special issue editor for high impact journals.
