Professional, Upbeat & Personal Service; my second time copying a car key here. I don't recall what I paid five years ago, but the price seems reasonable and the wait was less than an hour! Convenient location in Pacific Beach. I will not hesitate to use them again!

Excellent service! I was in a tight time frame and needed to get into the unit quickly to clean. I called, and they arrived within 15 minutes wow! I’ve used them several times and will continue to do so. Anthony is especially quick, attentive, and professional. Reliable, fast, and always great to work with. Highly recommend!

These guys are fabulous. Everybody should run their business this way. Honest, affordable and on time. Don't use mobile locksmiths you get from Google searches. They send you to a scammy call center. Weston was super professional and helpful. My car's ignition cylinder was jammed and Weston bailed me out. TYSM!

Called these guys yesterday to repair the door lock on my commercial business. After a late night failed forced entry at my business my evening and morning were ruined by a glass break alarm. Luckily the amateur theifs only managed to ruin my lock. With a simple call and a short wait dup-a-key saved my Saturday by being punctual and handy. Showing up within a few hrs after first contact with all the parts was huge. Technican resecured my establishment quick with the knowledge and understanding needed. Big thanks guys, will refer with trust.
Also price was not cheap but very reasonable to the instant piece of mind and quality of work. Didn't bat an eye.

They went above and beyond to help me out. I would give them six stars if I could. They also gave me a great price. I will be a customer for life.

AVOID! Would give 0 stars if possible. Waited almost 3 hours just to get a spare key made. Tech was in no rush and when I went to go ask him how much longer he was just scrolling on his phone. Terrible customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Their employees obviously need more training before they get sent out on their own.

I needed a new key fob. Vince was amazing. He was courteous, and fit me in on the same day. The amount quoted was what I paid. They told me 30 -45 mins for completion of the job and they finished in 30 mins. I would highly recommend Dup-A-key.

Got a great quote for a new key fob and was able to make an appointment for the next day. Only took about 30 minutes to get my replacement and everyone there was very helpful and kind. I would recommend them to anyone.

Professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and amazing customer service. They did everything in their power to try to save me money by exhausting all other possible solutions. I really appreciated that. They did everything they could to try to save my ignition lock, and even though we finally concluded that it was the ignition lock itself that was the problem, they came out and replaced it and gave me a good price for a full service replacement. And also the locksmith who came out had a great sense of humor, and was a good positive guy. Overall, I do highly recommend.

I have a keyh stuck in a lock on one of my cars from somebody trying to steal it and they broke it off! These guys had it out within 30 seconds and were extremely nice. Would go back and plan to send anybody needing keys to them.

Dup-A-Key was outstanding. They are very professional, fast and friendly. They reprogrammed a new key fob for my vehicle and also duplicated an emergency metallic key. The job was done fast and efficiently with no issues. Everything worked perfectly. I would highly recommend them for all your lock/key services!

Awesome guys! I went all over town to get keys made for my scooter and no luck until this place! Dup-A-Key got me the keys I needed. Fast too and friendly! I love businesses that deliver! Thanks Dup-A-Key! Made my day and now I have some peace of mind. Wohoo!

awesome spot!! my chevy metal key snapped off the fob (second one to do so), so I bought a blank key off amazon and brought it to Dup-A-Key. using the broken key as comparison, they were able to cut it for me, and even took the time to go out to my car on the street to test it. it also only cost $5!! after leaving, i was able to program the key easily to my car.

the staff are super friendly too, I really appreciate how they were willing to take the time to do the job perfectly. I'm planning on buying another blank key to have a spare and I'll be back here for sure to get it cut. Highly highly recommend this place!!

I had a duplicate car key that I use for locking and unlocking my car when I go out surfing. That car key got flushed out from my wetsuit during a surf session and I was left locked out of my car. My wife called Dup-a-Key and they sent out a technician promptly and got me back into my car. The technician was even able to make me another duplicate key on the spot using equipment in the company vehicle. Great experience overall!

Went to ace hardware to get keys re-made and they made this whole thing about how they needed to make sure that I was the owner of my home when I went to re-make a do not duplicate things.

I’m glad I was referred to Dup A Key.. they were so chill and no-nonsense about it and got the job done right

Needed three “surfer keys” for my 2018 Ford truck. They knew exactly what I wanted and did a wonderful job. Even tested them before he checked me out. Highly recommend this shop.

Came here to get a new set of keys cut to a new to me Lexus RX. They cut the keys and programmed it in less than an hour. Price is very competitive compared to dealership. Although not factory, it works the same. They gave me a discount when I ordered 2 new keys and remote. Also includes a warranty and if I was to lose the keys, they can make new ones if I provide the VIN. Highly recommend

Cant express enough how professional this service is. I walked in 5 minutes prior to their scheduled opening - while they were clearly still getting ready for the day; the owner stopped what he was doing to take a look at my problem (locked my keys inside the center console of my jeep) - an issue that 2 other services said they would be unable to help with , unless they drilled into it (ruining the lock and jeep forever). The owner took a look and was able to get it open in about 10 minutes with no drill or harm to the lock/jeep at all! I found the price extremely reasonable and fair ( 1/3 of what I was quoted from the other 2 services)

10/10 will use again if needed!

Great place to get a key duplicate for a motorcycle! Took less than 5 minutes to bring in a key for a duplicate and got two copies for $12. Definitely recommend, fast, efficient, and cost effective. Will definitely return if I need more keys in the future.

Came in tonight to make a work key. I loved all the options and walked in and out in under 3 minutes. Very impressed I’ll definitely be back. Amazing selection for a great price. Thank you! 🗡️ 🔑

The best spot for getting cool keys made! Got a key from a Minute Key machine that did not work (ughhhh) so came here to get a working one, AND they fixed the minute key one for free! Quick, affordable, easy — 10/10. Thanks guys!

I brought my ignition off my 25 year old KTM dual sport that I had lost the key to. These guys were able to make an impression and cut a new one for me in just a few hours! Will definitely be coming back for all my key needs! Thanks!
