Jones Sprinkler Company has a later closing time than all the other sprinkler companies, so you hopefully will call him first. However, Maurice did not call the callback number I left the first time. So, I called the next day and left a voicemail message. He then did call and setup a time to come two days later. By the time he came, I had most of the cable from the timer to the first station exposed. There was only a shovel worth of dirt to remove to expose the last portion of cable. I shared what I had done already, but confessed that there was still an amount to remove to be sure I had the correct cable. Maurice spent only a few minutes looking at the job and felt like he needed a locator and would need to come back, because he did not have a locator with him. I spoke with him the next day, Friday, to find out he would not be back until Monday or Tuesday and would need to rent a locator. Learning this, I told him that I would work on it the meantime, and I wanted to know how much more it was going to cost with having to rent a locator. I went to work on it Friday after work. I found out through Googling that I needed to test the timer and cable with a multimeter. After testing, I then needed to test the two control valves I had found. Both were fine. That meant it was either the cable, as I had already predicted, or it was one of the other two control heads. I purchased a new cable, wired it, turned it on, and it worked. I asked Maurice if he wanted me to pay the service fee of $65 for stopping by on Thursday, and I offered to pay by check, cashapp, Zelle, or PayPal. Honestly, I was hoping for a reply with no charge, but he gave me his cashapp info. I think a company with its own control head locator would be a better company to go with. Then, he could have finished the job on his initial visit.

Mr. Jones has been doing sprinkler systems since the 1980's. He is extremely knowledgeable and capable. His service charge is very reasonable.

Hello,
Back in 2018 Mr. Jones installed a sprinkler system for me at a MORE THAN reasonable price. I told Mr. Jones I was a retired Army Vet and was in the police academy at the time. When Mr. Jones learned this, he immediately gave me a substantial military discount, which was appreciated. As recent as this past weekend (7-31-22) I thought I was having trouble with my system and I called Mr. Jones at 5:30am and he was at my home by 8:00am the same morning. Mr. Jones rectified the minor issue and did not charge me a dime. I would recommend Mr. Jones to anyone ESPECIALLY veterans. THANKS A MILLION MR. JONES!!!
