I’ve been here 3 times. 1st time braids were done nicely but the price via text and after services was different. 2nd time was a touch up for knotless and the Braider did box, 3 braids in I said something and she caught an attitude was rough with my hair, and not sure why but she called the owner to dispute.. 3rd time price was different than discussed again , but I just paid since I liked my style. Today I returned for the same style I had last month and it went up! Price gouging for the same style 1 month later is unethical. Lack of communication between Mouna and her stylist makes the whole experience stressful, uncomfortable and unnecessary. Especially if you’re in communication with someone via text/phone call leading up to your appointment.

I went to Mouna Hair Braiding in Joliet and I am pleased with my decision. I have been going to my regular stylist for years and the outcome is always a hit or miss, Eva was my hair braider at Mouna hair Braiding here in Joliet and when I tell you she better be prepared to be sick of me. Lol! She is very sweet and professional the shop was clean and the service was professional, I have found a new hair stylist I highly recommend.🌹🌹🌹👑👑💅🏿💅🏿

First time I went 8/10 simply bc i absolutely hate when someone cuts the end of braids straight across after dipping, that ruins the style for me…..My second time around everything was going well in the beginning then it seems as if my braider got tired….i booked small waist length knotless! As she got to the top all I could see was bulging braids like knots as if I had booked box braids, not to mention my top row parts were super uneven…I had her fix the parts she was upset BUT MIND YOU IM PAYING $320 so why not give me my moneys worth! she gave me mid back braids my length is not waist at all 320$ for this im pissed and won’t return bc it’s all about the money with them they don’t care to give you quality work and I won’t even say them all but they are a business as one so🤷🏼‍♀️oh as a braider myself this service and quality is a 4/10 my back boxes are medium….a 4 for trying ! It’s been one wk I hate my hair .

I’m going to be honest. I had lost all faith in braid shops. When I tell you the women in here, changed my whole outlook. When I tell you every last braider that walked in the door looked so happy to be there. I was welcomed and sat right down to start. Mind you I was 5 mins late and they were ready and waiting for me. Anyway, they got me right. I recommend them to anyone. Come to find out, there’s a shop in Bolingbrook too. I also like how Mouna was overseeing every head in the shop. She made sure everyone was right. Awesome job! I will definitely be back.

If you have really short and trying to grow it back please go see Oumou and Nabou and they have excellent services here and the prices are wonderful !!! They are Very patient, got done in a good timely manner and wonderful people as whole! I would highly recommend everybody to come check them out! Definitely will be back! Im A Very Happy Customer

I went to Mouna and she was so nice from the first call. She is a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit so I felt very comfortable with her in my head.
I initially went in there to get my hair braided to install my own crochet and she said, “this will take you forever!” She offered to do it for me for a very reasonable price. I was so thankful she took me in last minute, didn’t mind my son hanging out with me either. Oh and she was done very quickly. She has a repeat customer in me.

They very rude and nasty.. I walked in to ask for a price . It was 2 workers and a client. One of the lady instead of answering my question she reply we busy.. I told her I understand ur busy I just want to know the price for some braids.. she reply again we are busy .. so I left🤷🏼‍♀️
